Cool name, huh?   Remember I came up with it.

After having and playing both systems, some impressions.

Ps4 seems like it has more computing and graphics power, but the really impressive level of technology in the kinect 2.0 makes it a push.   I'm probably not gonna play kinect games, but damn, bros, that's a sweet piece of tech.  Ps4 camera is just arright, dog, ya know?   The Ps4 blu ray drive is much faster, games install from disk way more quickly.

What an exciting time to be a console gamer!  Here we sit, bookended by the PS4 launch last week and the XB1 coming tomorrow.  I myself pledged to sit on the sideline for a few months, thinking I'd give the "system sellers" time to be created (and that I wouldn't be able to find a system anyhow) but that I'd eventuall go XB1 because of the functionality beyond gaming that it offers, and maintain my gaming PC to experience some indie/MMO/PC-centric content.

So I like many others got my PS4 last week. Really like it and it's a huge improvement over the 3. The DS4 is one of the most responsive, finely tuned controllers I've used... pretty damn close to 360's. Graphics are unlike anything I've seen. I know PC gamers might be used to it but I'm not a PC gamer. The UI is snappy and easy to use unlike the cluttered XMB. Everything SONY told me I was going to get, I received. Now I just need some games. I have yet to be able to get into a match on Battlefield. Ghosts got traded because... well I just try to like CoD but can't.

It's like waiting on Christmas to get here when you were a little kid.

Took this early last January ( I think).

UPS finally delivered my PS4 around 3pm on launch day.

The first thing I did was swap the 500 Gig drive with a 1 TB drive.  As always, it was extremely easy to do and the OS load was even faster on the PS4 than on the PS3.

After that, seting up the PSN account took no time at all.  I saw people having issues with PSN yesterday but by the time I received mine, everything was flawless.
