Secret World & Some Analog Gaming

I'm still playing Neverwinter on a daily basis, but my level 42 devout cleric has hit a spot where I cannot proceed solo.  I have taken my great weapon fighter up to level 22 or so, and am having fun there, but figured I'd change gears a little bit and give the Secret World another go.  I'm having a fairly good time with it.  I understand the criticism is that it doesn't have much content, but I'm not in a position to judge that just yet.  I guess the thing that I'm enjoying most about it is that the questing feels more ogranic.

Seven months of SURFACING.

Seven months of SURFACING.

I’ve had my SURFACE RT since November 2012. I thought it was time to give a little update on it since I wrote my review of it. http://www.2old2play.com/news/hardware-reviews/surfacing-microsoft-surface-review

Shit I've Said While Playing Skyrim

1) Bonemeal: it's the most important meal of the day.

2) Why won't these children burn?

3) The Falmer weren't watching you, Einstein...the Falmer are blind.

4) I'm only level 8...where are all of these Legendary Dragons coming from?

5) Here's a septim, now go buy some fucking cough syrup.

6) Why are these people already dead? Oh yeah, werewolf rampage.

7) Pardon me madam, but I believe that you have impaled yourself with your broom. Quit playing like it didn't happen and go get some help.

8) It's Motherfucking Murder Time!!

Sympathy Cards

I was at Target looking at sympathy cards, here are my thoughts:

1. Do they have belated sympathy cards?

Covers, a new series, maybe?

I’ve always loved music.  Who doesn’t, right?  Way back in my childhood, I would rock out the air guitar to the new Bon Jovi tunes on the radio (back when Slippery When Wet was new…), Corey Hart (c’mon, I was 6, and it was the 80’s … ), that was when I’d stop playing my only Beatles tape.  It may have been the 80’s, but my parents listened to “classic” rock most of the time, so I grew up also believing that Buddy Holly, Fats Domino, and The Beatles were new music.  Well, it was new to me, at least (but I was 6, remember, everything was new!)

ONE vs PS4 side by side comparison

I feel like PS4 over the long haul is going to be capable of producing more detailed games.  It's got more CPU cores available for games, more /faster ram, almost twice as many GPU cores.  There's just more there for Devs to utilize.  ONE on the other hand has the cloud coputing thing but now without the manditory always online stuff, internet connectivity becomes optional so it's hard to say how much devs will really emprace it.  But the potential is there for some awesome stuff.

State of Decay to get pure sandbox-mode.

Undead Labs have in a recent interview revealed that State of Decay will be getting an extra mode of play through DLC. This mode will be a pure sandbox. They do so after fan-pressure, claiming that we asked and that they listened. Extra game-modes never hurt, but what would a pure sandbox add to State of Decay?

From the storymode there are several things that could be cut:

  1. Story missions
  2. non-respawning resources
  3. non-respawning cars
  4. companion ineptitude missions
