Couldn't be happier! It's been a long stretch since 2000, but we slowly built back to what is needed to take it all the way to and through the postseason. I tip the hat to the Phillies for a hard fought series and making it one of the better sets of games in recent history.

Now...how am I going to convince the boss to let me use a sick day to see the parade on Friday?

We're all gamers - that's why where here, isn't it? Well, except for Dastard and his use of 2o2p as a political soapbox. Seriously tho', we all are in search for those few and far between titles that take gaming to a whole new level. Those experiences that transcend gaming all together, and either by their production value, the quality of the story, you name it become more than just a routine game that we play and then discard as we move onto the next.

Welcome to Balek's house.  Why?  Because my eldest son was just diagnosed with H1N1. 

High fever, chills, aches...typical flu symptoms.  Now granted, they didn't run a culture as they've stopped doing that due to the sheer volume that the state labs can't handle.  He isn't in a high risk category, so all we get is keep fluids running, lots of sleep, and Ibuprofin.

Funny that nobody wanted to sit with me at lunch...
