Shut Up! Stop Whining! Don't Eat That!

This is a picture of my husband this weekend camping with the kids:

LMAO

--------------

Camping on Badin Lake, it wasn't that bad - until it started raining - and didn't stop.  Lighting and Bugs and Water OH MY!  Little tiny baby frogs everywhere - cold, wet.  I thought I would never get dry.  And the kids did their best to bug the crap outta their Dad.  By late evening, it was a big joke - SHUT UP!  STOP WHINING!  all in the Arhnold voice.

Lawn Mower Rodeo!!

I love mowing the lawn. It's always an adventure. We don't have a huge piece of property, but the hill in the back makes a riding mower necessary. My mower has a comfy seat, amazing turn radius and a cupholder for my beer. Yes, it is a fabulous piece of equipment.

Yesterday was a bright 87 degrees outside. Slight breeze, low humidity. With the July 4th weekend coming up - camping all weekend - and the rain we have had lately - the lawn was begging for a trim.

Now DANCE!!

Little family thing that we do.  At the end of any movie - or for certain commercials - we all jump off the couch and DANCE!  My kids and I started this when Todd was away.  It's now, according to my son, "a mandatory Hammett Activity".  :)

Sometimes we hold hands and go in a circle, sometimes we twirl each other around - then my daughter will shout "SOLO" and we all break off and do our own thing.  My son is excellent at the one-legged jumping thing... my daughter is more clumsy-ballet.

Next Time on JeepChick's Blog....

I love "Scenes from the Next"  I can't recall exactly when they started doing it, but it is my favorite part of any TV show now.  It's the teaser at the end that gives you a 15 second peek at next weeks show.  There are some show that all I watch is scenes from the next....I just fast forward through the show with my DVR to get to that 15 second bit.

That's the good part.

I am so Sorry Jackie.. we are Asshats Nowadays

Jackie Robinson. They are altering his damn Hall of Fame plate to include the fact that he was the first African American player.

This is bullshit.

The man made it very very clear that he wanted the award to reflect that he got into the Hall of Fame not because of his race, but on the merit of his play.  He didn't want any reference to his race put on the plaque.

Now they are going back against a dead man's wishes. A man who I totally agree with. He was there because he was good enough. By adding the byline about his race, it makes it seem like Affirmitive Action.
