It's alive... IT'S ALIVE!

I am writing this blog on the laptop that I blogged about yesterday, the victim of an unfortunate accident involving a kitty and a beer. If you didn't read yesterday's blog (scroll down for the whole story) my cat knocked a beer onto my laptop. HP quoted $400 to repair it.

For the last 48 hours, this thing has been sitting upside down with a fan blowing underneath the keyboard. I was going to call HP to schedule the repair but before doing do I decided to pop the battery back on and try it. Sure enough, it boots up and seems to be running fine.

$400 bottle of beer

I am beyond angry at myself right now. I'm also kind of angry at my cat, but truthfully I'm trying to pass blame that lies with me exclusively.

Last night I was sitting at my kitchen table, sipping a beer surfing the net on my laptop. The laptop is a screaming fast gaming/multimedia laptop I bought last August, to replace my obsolete gaming desktop. I'm one of the few PC gamers left so while it cost 4 times as much as a new 360, I felt it was a worthwhile investment.

Star struck?

Yesterday the wife and I took my 2 year old to Six Flags for the first time. Despite some huge concert for teen girls (Kesha and Jason Derulo), since the weather was kind of shitty the crowds weren't too bad and we managed our time well between the kiddie rides and the grown up rides. Six Flags has a "kid swap" program where one parent waits in line, while the other parent waits at the exit for the first to get on the ride. After the first parent's ride is done, they swap the kid and the other parent gets to go on the ride.

Drunk guy vs. Flip flop

I laughed out loud a few times during this video. This dude is as wasted as one can be before they are no longer able to stand up.

Quick movie review - Antichrist

Last year, a friend contacted me very excited. He is a TSA employee and had just left work at the airport, and he called me because he knew I am somewhat of a movie buff. He had just met Willem Dafoe at the airport, gotten an autograph and spoke to him for about 10 minutes. He said that Willem was a very friendly, down to earth guy and he was more than willing to chat about his projects – he had just finished acting in a relatively unknown project, Antichrist.
