This story made me laugh when I read it. About an hour away from me, in Danvers, MA a family got lost in a massive corn maze. They had to call 911 and have police rescue them - but they were only about 25 feet from the exit:

A father and mother with two children used their cell phone to call Danvers Police at 6:32 p.m. reporting that they were lost in the corn maze. Danvers Officer Justin Ellenton responded to the call and entered the corn maze with Connor’s Farm manager Ritchie Potter to search for the family.

It started as a simple photo in a Texas news article, and evolved into "GOP Candidates Gone Wild."

As of recently a talented photoshopper made this picture 10 times better.

And by the way Rick, the very fact that you have to explain something that sounds so profoundly racist, means your presidential aspirations are a thing of the past.

Here's a process that has repeated itself over and over again in my house every night this week, sometimes several times in one night:

1. 3 month old baby gets tired. I give him a bottle and rock him for half an hour.

2. He eventually falls asleep. I hold him and continue rocking him until I'm sure he's really, really asleep.

3. Put him down in his crib, his swing, or on my bed. Take care of cooking dinner for me and my other son, do some cleaning, or whatever while I can.

It's bullets hitting things. At 1,000,000 frames per second. If you don't give it all 10 minutes I don't blame you, but some of the shots are amazing.

In what little free time I have, I've been trying to get into Starcraft 2. The game is amazing and I really enjoy playing it but as a newbie to the genre I'm definitely over my head. BlowMonkey's had some great pointers in his blog, and I've also been checking out other sites and youtube videos for tips.

I meant to get this posted over the weekend, but it was incredibly busy - I already had my first gig as a registered business (on Saturday morning I received the confirmation from the state that the name is registered). Granted, the gig was to shoot a close friend's wedding and I wouldn't think of charging him, but at least I'm already building my portfolio.

The website has been registered and now I need to slap a logo on it. I have three entries (sort of) and I'm putting it up to a vote.

Earlier this week, I posted about a quick and easy contest for somebody to win $30 to either Best Buy or Gamestop, or quick cash via Paypal if you don't want to give me your home address (I don't blame you. I steal things).

The premise is simple: Design a logo for Studio 603 Films, post the link to your design on my blog, the community votes, and somebody wins.

So far ProvingUnique looks to be a shoe-in for the winner since his entry is the only one. If you want to give him a bit of a challenge, enter today - I'm cutting it off at midnight!

A couple years ago I hired a sales guy named Chad. Chad worked in my office for one full year. He was a very nice guy and decent at his job, but it was torturous being around him - no matter what anyone was talking about, he had a story about himself that was bigger and better than the original conversation. He was also notoriously unreliable and eventually he stopped showing up because of a minor medical issue and never came through with a doctors note, so he was let go.

I went to click "Edit" and accidentally deleted my other blog entry. I'm a tool but fortunately there were no entries yet.

I've posted a couple threads about choosing a business name, and today finally decided that "studio603" is the only one I don't hate. I checked a couple sources online and found a photographer on the other side of the state, "Studio Six-O-Three."

I'm torn because I like the name but I don't want to create confusion. Since photography and videography are very similar I don't want my prospective clients calling her for video, and vice versa.
