Death Metal Dog

Between work and the baby, my online time has pretty much completely been eaten up by the rest of my schedule. I apologize in advance if anybody else has already posted this in their blogs or in the forums.

But I don't think a youtube video has made me laugh this hard out loud in a long time.

A teaspoon of f**king awesome

I've been so incredibly busy the last month or so. I pop into 2old2play maybe once every couple of days, but only to check up on the newest games people are playing, read a few blogs, and... well, that's about it. On the plus side though, the fact that I've been swamped during the day means that I've bringing in an extra few hundred bucks every month. Being the boring ass that I am, that extra money goes into savings or I use it to "get ahead" on my credit cards.

Then this week, something awesome.

"I'll kick your ass, man!"

I love water cooler conversations simply because they bring about some very unusual topics that permeate the rest of the day. This morning, as one of my coworkers was walking in, a random girl on the street started talkin' smack for no apparent reason other than to be a nuisance. As she persisted, my coworker muttered something under her breath which triggered our antagonist into "What you say, bitch? I'll kick your ass!" mode. It never elevated to physical violence but could have if my coworker hadn't just kept walking.

Karma, it's a two dollar whore

I've always believed in the whole Karma thing and every once in a while, certain things happen around me that reinforce my beliefs.

Last week I blogged about a girl who walked off the job after a disagreement over some time off. In a nutshell, I rejected a salesperson's request for three days off because of her poor attendance record. She cried, said OK, and then left the company without notice a week later.

In a perfect world.....

... The adults on this site could chat a bit about politics without feelings getting hurt.

I have made mention of politics a bit in my blog, plus I've seen other blogs recently where it's mentioned but not necessarily discussed. I'm seriously not trying to take a soapbox position here about the way that we, as adults, should act; I'm merely stating that I'd like to see an alternative, a place where people could say what they think about the issues, and why, without any of the following:

A rant about wiping my ass

I don't know why this pisses me off as much as it does. If I walk into the bathroom at the office, I don't give a rats ass if the seat is up or down. I honestly don't even mind if a paper towel is on the floor six inches away from the trash bin. Hey, at least you tried.
