Gayer Gamer banned from XBL

There have been a handful of blogs here recently about gay marriage and same-sex couples. But what about simply labeling oneself as gay - is that really offensive? According to the Xbox Live community, yes it is.

The Consumerist printed this letter from Grant, no longer theGAYERgamer:

Consumerist,

Ladies and/or gay dudes.... help!

I have two problems.

1. I'm a cheap a-hole. There is a mom-and-pop suit shop in town that sells very nice italian suits for a great price. They're not making much money on the suits, so they charge $50 to $60 for a really basic shirt, and anywhere from $40-$80 for a tie. Naturally being the cheap a-hole I am, I buy the suit there and go elsewhere for my shirts and ties.

Happy April the First!

The VP and co-owner of my company is a big fan of little pranks. He is always armed with rubber bands in case somebody comes around the corner - and he always aims for the nuts. The past week, he and one of my sales girls have been placing the round plastic piece from a water cooler on each other's desks while the other is out to lunch, in the bathroom, etc. On Friday afternoon my sales girl comes to her desk and the entire water cooler is unplugged and standing on her chair.

Give me a call at EX-WHORE

I have been without a home phone line since college. I've been having reception issues with my iPhone so decided it's finally time to get a home phone. Being the cheap bastard that I am, I picked up a Linksys internet phone that works with Yahoo and subcribed to their voice service (at $2.99 a month plus 1¢ per minute, I think it's a decent deal!). I got to the page where I had to pick a number and while I couldn't get the New Hampshire area code I chose another New England area code. They gave me a couple options.

The impossible career change... or is it?

This is half frustrated rant, half plea for advice.

As some of you may know, and most of you likely don't, I am the Business Development Manager for a small consumer reporting/court research agency. I like my job. I work with some great people, the company is very loyal, I make decent money and the job isn't boring by any means. In the four years I have been working there, I've doubled my salary and earned the promotion to where I am now. I can't complain.

Death Metal Dog

Between work and the baby, my online time has pretty much completely been eaten up by the rest of my schedule. I apologize in advance if anybody else has already posted this in their blogs or in the forums.

But I don't think a youtube video has made me laugh this hard out loud in a long time.
