Friday

I am often asked if what I do for a living, my career, so to speak, is depressing.  Not at all!  It's actually routine and I enjoy my patients a lot.  Now that the kids are in school, I am working a regular schedule, 3 days a week.  Rough!  I hafta get back into the swing of actually working....  So, I sling chemo, save lives, and feed people poison all day long, and wait for Friday.  Happy Friday, y'all!  Tonight is Friday Night Magic.  All over the world, people who play the card game "Magic the Gathering" are getting together either physically or online and playing.  That's me.  And also th

Random thoughts for Wednesday

I went to the gym this morning for the first time since before I went on my vacation.  Weighed in like I always do.  Ack!  I am never eating again!

Hubby's PSA is stable.  First time in a while that it is the same as it was 3 months before.  Still in watch and wait mode.

I had a massage today!  Very nice.....

Not worth a title

I had to go back to work today, slinging chemo.  It was actually a good day and I got out on time.  Rare!  But it was good to be back.  I always eat well when I work.  LOL.  Today we had cupcakes, several kinds of cookies, and banana bread.  mmmmmm...   I tried them all.  Even better are the days the drug reps feed us lunch.  That can be anything from box lunches (yuk), to pizza (better) to, well, really good stuff!  I'm going on a regular schedule now that the kids are in school.  I miss them a lot.  I think I am having empty nest syndrome.  They may be my grandkids, but I have had them so mu

Home Again

I am back!  I got back last night.  Drove for over 9 hours to make it in one day.  Traffic was only really bad around DC, 50 miles or so either way.  Other than that, i put the pedal to the metal and sorta flew most of the way.  Started out meeting an old friend that owed me lunch.  i say he is an old friend, but I had never met him until now.  Yep, met him right here almost 2 years ago and we have been buds ever since.  Well, he is cute as a bug's ear and I just had to hug him all up!  This is rumbagod, and he doesn't owe me lunch any more!  Oh, and that nice little lady that is on the oth
