Iron Maiden at the Allstate Arena.  This is going to be a several parter since I have an assload of pics to post.

Ok, so back in March I find out Maiden is coming out here on June 11.  As luck would have it (really, really good luck) I had my son that week for vacation.  Being that it was on a Wednesday none of my buddies could make it (something about needing to be up for work at 4am...pussies  ) so it was going to be just me and the kid.

A few months back I decided I was going to stick with the bass playing so I needed to upgrade my bass, at least a little.  I didn't have a ton of cash but figured I would take a peek at Guitar Center and see what I could come up with.  I spent about 3 hours there checking out different basses and finally settled on this:
