You need to chill out, I said nothing but "lol" because I found something funny. If you want to keep bringing me up I'm happy to have a war of the keyboard with you.

I have no doubt that's exactly what you want.. The only time you post anything is to bash me. You're the one who needs to back off.
Here, ill add something - I do believe that the current makers of high end headsets will come up with adapters for the new system. I hope so since I love my Astro's which are relatively new. As for the original headsets, they weren't bad. I did use mine from about 2006-2009 before upgrading to a surround sound headset which I never looked back from. I also had that chargeable blue-tooth style earpiece MS sold. Wasn't too shabby either.
Azure, I'm not attacking you. I'm taking into account the sum total of posts across the X1 threads that you have posted. 90% of those have been generally slanted that the X1 sucks and people who buy one are stupid (Granted, the stupid people were pre-drm removal). I'd be happy to pull up quotes if you want. I have nothing against open discussion. Quite a few people in her mentioned they did use the kit mic. 90% of the time I do as well. I've had A30's upgraded to A50's and they are wonderful headsets. That being said I can't wear them for more them 20 minutes because I get terrible headaches with anything constrictive on my noggin..even ball caps. The fidelity of the new headsets and the new connection type should be an improvement over the last version for which I am looking forward to. Am I saying its going to be the best headset ever? No, but until we as users actually get our hands on it any review or statement of the device itself is merely opinion.
My contention stays the same. Microsoft knows that gamers won't use the Kinect for multiplayer gaming and could have easily included the new "Kit mic" with the box. As illustrated by this article http://www.vg247.com/2013/06/26/xbox-one-microsoft-explains-why-it-doesnt-include-a-headset/ Microsoft knows that gamers will want the headset but chooses to push the Kinect instead.
Now this doesn't make Microsoft evil or wrong. They are a company who is out to make money. No one is refuting that. However, with the recent DRM flip flop is this really the best way to convince people to buy your console? I wish I had something positive to say about the decision not to include the headset in the box but I really don't. I think it's a very poor decision and will cause more people not to buy the console.
Just a reminder, not even all 360's came with headsets. Even now the 4GB model doesn't come with one. The Kinect adds probably around $100 in cost as it is, and does contain a mic which (whether we'll use it or not) is usable. If you want the console to cost $549, sure let's keep adding things.
I agree that its pretty crappy they are not including any sort of headest. I live alone so there is no one to bother, but the conversations/comments that my clannies have gotten into while gaming would defintely require a headset if others were around, especially kids. I think that goes across the board for almost mp games lol. You know..what woulld be cool though...totally going off topic here...is if you set up your kids acct to a child level...and you could set the kinect up to recognize foul language...then it would shut itself off or notify parents by text or something when the lil bastards are mouthing off. I swear that the kids are what makes me keep the friends only setting on.
No, it won't cause me not to buy the console, but I won't be buying the puck. Turtle Beach is already in motion on new sets for the XB and that's what I'll buy most likely. It's what I already have now...
I've never been a big fan of tutrtle beaches...mainly due to a couple of bad headset from early on in the 360 cycle. I will be curious to see how they do in the next gen arena. The Polk headset also has me keeping an eye out for it.
I have the x41's and there is usually a crackle or dropout while playing. Never had a single issue with the A50's. Obviously they cost more, but you pay for quality.

I also had the X41's. They were a really good headset but like you said, the crackling due to intereference for the wireless was a bit annoying. I also got the wireless because at the time I had a puppy who destroyed my Blue Trittons (man, those were great. Such solid bass). Now that he's grown and no longer interested in destroying my electronics, I got the wired astros. Great set, you do pay for quality.
Not butthurt about the option to not include the headset. I just hope and believe there will be adapters for the X1 by gaming headset companies. If not, I may purchase the headset as a buffer between new X1 Astros or another company down the road.
See? Why fall into a camp now? We've got no clue about these consoles yet.
Exactly, too many chess pieces are being moved around to try and beat the other player. The games not over yet, and I'd bet larger movbes will be made once the consoles are released.
I was going to get a turle beach anyways, I don't want no crappy head piece anyways...gotta bling it out.
You people with your fancy pants headsets!
I prefer to use my surround sound system, but I typically play late at night/early morning so the wife tends to be asleep. I also use my headset when gaming with friends so in the event that I do say something, it can be heard.
I actually thought it was irritating playing online with people using Kinect as their mic because it would pick up all kinds of noise, random household conversations and what not. I'm not sure how they can fix that with Kinect 2, an open mic is an open mic.
It's kind of puzling why they didn't include a $5 headset in the box . I could understand it if they weren't changing the connection cable becasue then you could just use your 360 headset. But nope, can't do that either. Only reasoning i can think of is it has something to do with their partnership with Turtle Beach maybe. Not sure, another stupid decsion from the XBone executive team.

No, there's gotta be a peripheral for it. The partnership with Turtle Beach means that makes sense as the output.
higher quality audio that probably needs to be powered off the USB instead of a 2.5mm jack. I'm pretty sure the green ring around the earpiece lights up. This isn't your father's $5 headset.
Will absolutely NOT be buying anything that plugs into the XB that glows in the dark...
WTH is the point to that, I mean, you can't even see it IF you did care, it's on the side of your head?
LOL, Tinfoil hat response: " So the kinect can see you in the dark" Hahaha!!!
I agree.
The only "bennefit" I can imagine is that you will be able to see it in low or dark area's if it is on the ground/couch/chair/snug sack and you will hopefully not step/sit/insert on it when coming back from the shitter or getting a drink. But even that is a stretch.
Now XBoxSupport on Twitter is saying they're working on a solution to have older headsets work with the XB1. Support and PR are still on two completely different pages:

"Content" and "author" are pretty generous self assessments.
self assessments kinda like self editing or self medicating, no?

Ever watch the movie SKIN DEEP with the glow in the dark condom cock fight? As soon as I read that that scene came to mind.
I agree.

I always play with head phones so I need good ones. Now if they only made pink fluffy ones...
...they'd match the handcuffs!
