Anyways, the LED thing might not be a big deal, just like people with lit up cell phone screens in a movie aren't much of a distraction so people don't care when others do that, right?

That was a terrible analogy.  Unless you have multiple people over at your house, in the dark, all playing or watching a person play the ps4, the led will only distract the person using the controller (if it even does distract the player).  A person in a movie theater playing on his phone distracts multiple people in the audience, unless the movie theater is empty, in which case, the phone doesn't distract the user because the person is obviously using the phone for a specific reason.

Yep - it is a terrible analagy, but I'm glad it lead you to see that an individual with just one controller could be distracted by this LED of uselessness (unless they spend $60), even if it is simply reflecting in the television screen.

:)

Maybe I play gmes differently than you do,  but if you think this  light will afect your line of sight while gaming:

...then you might be doing it wrong.

Nobody even knows if that will be lit for non-move-related games any way, so speculation about getting distracted is pointless.

Good then I won't have to buy shit I don't want. If a dev makes good use of it then it can be picked up later. It's a win win. Don't come at me that Kinect is boxed in so it's a guarantee that it will be usefull in the least. It's just not.

Oh lawdy lawdy, an led that's not even pointed at the user is so distracting. I find your posts more useless and annoying than any led. Ever. lol

With low sales of the hardware peripheral, devs won't be encouraged to make software because this will limit their own sales.

You say it can be picked up later if devs make good use of it, but this is rather naive because the motivation for devs to make good use of it relies on people NOT picking it up later, but already owning it.

Its nice that its optional for people who get offended by peripherals, but it does mean that it won't be as widely adopted as an included Kinect with Xbox One.

Anyways, the LED thing might not be a big deal, just like people with lit up cell phone screens in a movie aren't much of a distraction so people don't care when others do that, right?

The low support and sales for PS4 Eye is pretty easy/logical to figure out, but if my pointing this out has offended you then sorry bout ya, Biz!

No, your dumbass posts offend me. They are written to troll, plain and simple. I don't know which sony employee 'bad touched' you but for your own health you should let it go.

Did you really just equate a controller in a private enviroment with a cell phone in a public movie theater? lol

If a dev comes up with a great idea for some use, people will buy it. That thing is $60 bones. I don't figure you're going have to take a payday loan to pick one up. By your thinking nobody is going to be putting chat features into their xbone titles. It's not included in the box after all right?

Doodi needs to toss an 'ignore' feature here. I would make liberal use of it. Now before you go patting yourself on the back for getting under my skin I'll let you in on a secret. You're not. I could care less.

And while I'm at it (sorry mod, shoot me a pm and tell me to stfu) I find your little tag under the crybaby one of the most offensive things I've read in a awhile. And I've seen a lot of fucked up shit.

"The vocal complaints kept our freedoms, but at what cost?"

At any cost bitch. Any cost.

Oh look a new article talking about what I already brought up in this thread.  Turns out other people (not here obviously) thought about the light and reflections off the TV screen.

Funny how that works out sometimes, right?

Heh, that's funny.   smiley

It's not an issue with the current Move setup, doubtful it will be an issue on the new system.

Just does not have the same ring to it. But you would have some place to hang your headset while you get something to drink.

Via Game Informer, it looks like MS has kind of merged the two different messages they've given out over the past couple of days:

Quote:
"The Wireless Controller has been redesigned to allow for higher data transfer speed between the controller and the console," a Microsoft representative told us. "This also required creating a new expansion port design for headsets and future controller add-on devices which is different from a standard audio plug input.  Xbox plans to develop solutions in the near future to allow consumers to connect many brands of wired gaming headsets to the Wireless Controller for gaming and chat audio.”

That price cut will be huge though, likely leading to Sony outselling m$ this upcoming generation, just like this generation.

http://www.joystiq.com/2013/06/27/microsoft-further-clarifies-xbox-headset-incompatibility/

"The Wireless Controller has been redesigned to allow for higher data transfer speed between the controller and the console," Microsoft told Game Informer in a statement. "This also required creating a new expansion port design for headsets and future controller add-on devices which is different from a standard audio plug input."

Microsoft goes on to say that it "plans to develop solutions in the near future to allow consumers to connect many brands of wired gaming headsets to the Wireless Controller for gaming and chat audio," though it does not say what form those solutions may take.
