Arse, wheel bearings shot on my offside rear wheel, got it fixed and my guys at the local garage only charged 30 quid for fitting, about $22. The part was €130, so good job we had some money set aside for Xmas...Now we have a good deal less. Ah well could have been worse.
Trying Spotify for a few months. So far it's way better than buying music considering my short attention span. Spotify sure seems like it will save me at least $100 a month.
Cable terminated saving almost $90 a month.

Dear Vegas casinos, see ya soon to take more of your money home with me. Maybe I'll throw money while I cruise down the ziplines in Bootleg Canyon.
Really puzzled why people have trouble making crepes. Super simple. I had one bad one out of about 20. Lower temp, longer cook time. Really hot pans don't work for crepes, that's the one I had to toss. I'll leave them a bit under cooked for Xmas dinner, easier to roll.
Everything you said about crepe cooking = me not being able to cook them. Lower heat? Nope. Longer cooking time? Can't do it. I don't burn food, per se. I cook them quickly at fairly high heat lol.
You ever have ten stressful problems arise in one fucking day?? I had one of those days. I'm telling myself I need to be thankful for all the shit that DIDN'T get screwed up. But I kinda just wanna scream FUUUUUUUUUUCK!! and break stuff.
We're supposed to be near 50 with up to 3 inches of rain on top of the snow pack in NE Ohio in the coming days. Flooding expected. Weird weather for this time of year.
Yeah...sadly. Still fire blazing and dinner on way. Xmas shopping nearly all done, just a trip over the border for stuff that cannot be got this side, hopefully no one will blow us up.
Heh no the Isle of man is not part of Ireland, I live in the south, the Republic of Ireland, quite close to the border to Northern Ireland, still part of the UK. I'll not get into the politics of it, but some tiny disident republican groups in the north are getting all silly again and planting the odd bomb.
Thought for sure Isle of Man was Irish, hmmm...under the queen, no speed limits...of course this was a 2003 episode, something change? Now I'm gonna have to go back and watch it again...I think it was an M3 segment. Darn it...
Okay, Celtic influences, Norse, and even Scottish, self governing British Crown dependency, located in the IRISH sea!
See, I was right, sorta...okay, vaguely close. Overseen by the Queen but not of the United Kingdom. Interesting locale.
It is part of the UK in the same way as the channel Islands, being in the Irish sea does not make it even remotely Irish, it has never to my knowledge been part of Ireland and if you were to go there you would see far more UK influence. But they are very proud of being Manx. The Isle of Man TT really should be on your bucket list.
Ah, well you throw a stone anywhere in northern europe you'll hit celtic culture, see it as the same as american culture in recent times. McDonalds and baseball caps everywhere...that does not make us all American. Tell you what is you do make it over, do when the TT is on and we'll make a road trip of it...well road and ferry :)
LOL

At least your horse be lame no more!
Damn $130 for a wheel bearing! $22 to install is cheap.
No closer to $180 for the bearing that price was euros, but yeah I maintain their computers so get a knockdown rate.
Practicing making crepes to make this for the holiday dinner. http://foodwishes.blogspot.com/2008/06/got-crepes-make-cannelloni.html Guests can pop them in the oven while I get "medicated".

Heh and there was me about to change the thread title...Bloody cold here, not like sub zero but that damp cold that gets into your bones.
Old cold?
Yeah...sadly. Still fire blazing and dinner on way. Xmas shopping nearly all done, just a trip over the border for stuff that cannot be got this side, hopefully no one will blow us up.
It's cold here too!! Only gonna get up to 72 today. Brrrrrrr!!!
Good afternoon all.
Sadly, my "American" knowledge of Ireland is sorely lacking...
I did see something on Top Gear about the Isle of Man? That's Irish, no?

idiocy knows no borders it would seem.

Yeah, I liked the look of it on the show. Early history lists a heavy celtic influence, but the place was inhabited 6500 years ago.

No but you have a good start there. If you get fat and drink shit beer... Well then, welcome aboard amigo!
