Sooo the TPMS light is on again. Called Hyundai service dude directly, as he said to do last time I was there. The last two times the light went off, it was while driving (slowly) over rumble strips. For some reason, that's setting off the system. Taking it in Wednesday. They're providing a rental while they have my car.
Well back from Dublin after an amazing gig. the History of the Eagles tour is one to catch if it comes your way, three hours documenting the band from the inseption to today. Every classic tune you want to hear gets played, Joe Walsh even gets to showcase some of his solo clasics and the band and their support musictions are just on it, the harmonies are spot on, and they play and sing as well as ever. So glad we took this one in, cost a small fortune with tickets, hotel and travel but worth every penny. A first for me was the Dublin audience, they tend to talk...alot, a constant murmer that can be heard over the quiet moments, not this time, for the first time they were spellbound from the opening bars to the closing number (Desparado of course)
Each member got their moment in the spotlight, Joe was as always mad as a hatter and giving it his all...well to be fair they all were. Ten out of ten!
It was mate, I have seen many gigs and most of my must see's but that one was one of the best, the time flew by, it was paced perfectly and every must song was played...I mean an Eagles gig that ends with Lying Eyes, Hotel California and Desperado...Just shows how many classics they had already done, as well as a whole load of other stuff.
Hyundai has had my car two days. They admitted they had to call the "Hyundai hotline", because they don't know what to do with it. The rental car they gave me is so fucked up I'm afraid to drive it. It makes a horrible thumping noise when you brake. The front tires are almost slicks at this point, and worn in a weird way. So if my car isn't ready by tomorrow, I'm going to demand they give me a better rental/loaner so I can leave the house over the weekend if I want to.
So latest news on Mrs Knight. The first of the severed nerves has reconnected. This is the one that controls the wrist, so rather than flopping around like a dead fish she can now rotate and raise it. Still weak of course but a real boost for her. So after some research into the mediun nerve bundle I figure another month to six weeks should see the remaining nerves do the same and then it is just a matter of getting the arm back to full strength.
Wow, that sounds like a real shitter there Kit. I know the rental/loaners are a courtesy they don't have to provide...but you'd think they would at least have the decency to not release hazardous cars on the road to thier customers. Not only that, but it's poor advertising for their cars. "This is what that shiney new car will be in a few years." Not necessarily the case if it's taken care of naturally, but it's the image that will be percieved by those w/o much mechanical know how...ie 80% of the people on the road today.
Very good news for Mrs. Knight. And I'm sure you are happy as a heron in trout farm pond about it.
As for me, still no word about my car. It'll be a week tomorrow. A FUCKING WEEK. Had a bad dentist appointment yesterday. Anybody ever have a gum graft? Thanks to my immune system attacking my own gums, I need one. I'm an OCD freak about oral care, yet the gums on the bottom front have receeded pretty bad. This gum graft thing sounds scary as hell.

My immune system attacked my gums I guess. No pockets or any of the usual stuff that goes with gum disease. I just have gums in one place that have disappeared.
Parcells never took any philosophy courses so take this with a grain of salt (Plus it’s Parcells) but best I can figure it’s synonymous to having someone contemplate life’s ups and downs and the pros or cons associated to such speculation. Much like you’re doing right now wondering why in the hell you’re going back to school after all these years and lets be honest a shit load of years have passed since the last time you sat at a desk looking for inspiration from an instructor, its probably easier to talk in decades or even scores you’re so fucken old!
But fret not, my guess is you’ll be taking some half-ass corporate course where the hardest part will be staying awake as they attempt to bore you to death with stuff you already know or basic common sense stuff explained with fancy words to make someone feel smarter than they really are. On that note beware of the word “synergy” which generally means the person doesn’t haven’t a fucken clue what they’re talking about, philosophically speaking of course.

Dark chocolate applied directly to the gums (eat it) will help that Kit. 100% rate of relief on that. My dentist started asking me what the hell I was doing. (my teeth are not too good ( thanks Mom) ) but my gums have improved drastically the last couple years and now I have him looking into it. Antioxidants AND it actually changes the ph in the mouth back to a favorable place as well. He's been buying a few weeks worth at a time and "running tests" he says....but he's increased his buying habits.Doctors ( and dentists I suppose) can be some stubborn arses sometimes.
Parcels, I'm actually studying Old Testament (towards a business degree, I guess business is kinda cut throat) and then New Testament. What kinda synergistic tie in this has I am curious to find out...maybe sacrifice an intern or something?
I am learning what's actually in it verses what everyone has told me is in it, and boy are there some glaring differences. It's like everyone got their info on the Lifetime Network or something...
I wrote a couple of paragraphs on your last sentence. I remembered we should not disuss religion here so I deleted them. The subject you mentioned concerns me as it is having a extremely negative effect all over the world.
All I have to say is, religion, like politics, and whatever that third thing is we aren't supposed to speak about are fine,it's people that mess it all up. There IS three , right?
