My parents would remind me they didn't have air conditioning growing up or I'd get the response by the time you grow up and get married you'll forget all about it
Okay, I rediscovered my brown thumb last weekend and ended up making the kids (my son and his newly wed bride) a couch! Who knew I could make a couch? I sure as hell didn't! I DO remember starting out and the choices in furniture weren't too great.
Waiting on the wife to get the cushions/pillows sorted and done.
It's a pine creation designed to compliment a pallet style coffee table my new daughter n law and her grandfather did a year or so back. The hardest part was tracking down the stain/finish used to duplicate the look. I will get a few pix when the thing is delivered to Knoxville and in place with the table.
And then I'm going to point and brag a lot, as I already have to build another one. I was gonna go all low key and avoid all that but...
Nice one Oldschool, I'm busy researching my upgrades to my home recording studio, damn this used to be so much easier when I lived just outside London. Easy to hit any number of great music shops and see stuff, play with it and talk to the guys that knew me well. Now it's all done on the internet, looking at pictures, hunting for trusted reviews and deciphering specs.
Think I have decided on the right kit, For mixing and routing signals around the Allen and Heath Qu 16
To replace my aging synths and take some more workload off the computer the Roland Integra-7
These will both marry to the iMac running Logic Pro X
This will be quite some investment but, hell the last time I spent this amount was 20 years ago and much of what I bought then I'm still using, so looked at that way it's not so much. Yeah sure I have added and replaced some stuff over the years, and will probably add some more stuff to this, but boy am I looking forward to these three items that are just awesome in their own ways.
Now if that feckin tax man in the UK would just sort themselves out and finish up some business I could get started.
I just saw V4 and it was magical! Maybe. ;)
Whoa!
Oh really?
Well it seems stable! That's a +1.
Although my avatar has reverted back to it's previous incarnation, no pun intended...
