Glad your pain is gone...subsequently I have posted on Deep's thread on Halo Waypoint that its obviously the age of the people playing that was the problem and not 343's in game chat function.
Glad the pain has finally started to subside Achy. It's about effing time! Bummed to hear about the biopsy result. Hopefully it's all concentrated and is removed quickly & easily. You got this!
Idk?! For two days it wouldn't work on any of my apple stuff (iPod touch, Mac mini). I got the bad gateway error. I reset everything and it didn't help. Then suddenly today it started working again. I know at one point Free couldn't get the site to work on his iPhone but idk the particulars.
This conversation actually happened:
Me: how big is a 5x7 picture?
Hubby: it's 5x7. THE SIZE IS RIGHT THERE IN THE NAME.
Me: but like how BIG is it?
Hubby: be thankful you're so cute. Seriously. Just sit there, look pretty, and don't talk anymore.
After twenty something years he should know what I meant! I meant is it like the size of that picture of us in Vegas or the size of the picture of us at my brother's wedding. I know I know. I should know the answer myself. But I don't. I'd be a horrible witness: I can't judge weight, height, distance, or the size of a picture apparently.
We were driving down the highway on a partly cloudy day with the sun shining through a cloud and my wife says," Look! The Moon!". I was like, it's good thing you are the beauty of the operation.
Apparently I was listening to my last podcast at 1.5 times normal speed and I just thought it was speedy techno instead of just the regular techno I listen to.
I had 40 year old gate valves replaced on my hot water furnace. Theoretically, they won't need to be replaced again until well after I'm dead. Some piece of mind? Maybe.
They were working fine (not leaking) but the zone valves and circulator were not feeling well. I didn't think 40 year old gate valves would be cooperative during the repair so off to the dump with them. The service company did a good job except ... the repair guy didn't notice his drain hose fell out of the sink. Mostly just a pain in the ass clean up for me but the company did reduce the bill to compensate. I could have been much more hard nosed about it but I wouldn't have been any happier for it.
Now I get to do a daily patrol to watch for leaks. I've seen leaks show themselves weeks later.
My weekend was absolutely un-notworthy...did a little clean up around the house, little GW2, some sim-racing and started dabbling in a flight sim again for the first time in probably 20 years.
That sucks Kit. I've found most FPS & MMO forums to be pretty toxic...so I tend to avoid them. Hell, I don't spend any time on the official GW2 forums because most of the posts are either e-thugs or people whining. If I go there, it's just to use the search to try to find some specific info...but I can usually find what I need to know on the wiki pages for GW2.
Fingers crossed there are no after the fact leaks Deep. So far so good on my drains...they haven't backed up in 2 weeks now. I think I'm probably going start a preventative maintenance schedule of the foaming drain cleaner (typically used for slow drains) to hopefully prevent it from happening again. Think every six months should be good.
Wow. Puts things into perspective. My aches and pains and surgeries and such are feeling much better...now the weather sucks so I am still stuck indoors.
My condo has a neat little heating system called aqua-therm. The hot water heater actually heats the home. Hot water is pulled from the hot water tank to the airblower and recirculated back to the hot water tank. No furnace and lower heating bills. I do check the tank for leaks about once a week though since I am on the third floor.
As for the game forums, I still go in and look around. Having been a member for over 5 years, the trolls and whiners are pretty well known by now so I tend to ignore them (when I can). What I look for are bits of information that have merit (like the swat issue), people with questions or gaming tips (and post those that I can provide), those who want to put together fireteams, or just funny stuff.

Wow, this thread blew up over the weekend!
