Not sure where to post this, but i am looking for practice with racing in a pack. Not in a tace setting and with identical cars. I just want to get better with close rang. Maybe an hour once a week. I dont want to do this in a race setting because I keep running into people aand getting run into. Thanks. Keep up the good all of you on this forum. Big

Big, send me a F/R and I'll send you an invite anytime I'm on. I do random lobby's all the time. Usually C- A, occasionally higher if we really get an itch t o cut loose, but not often, and it's usually changed race to race, 5 lappers, and off to somewhere else.

A good time is on Wednesday Track nights as it's just 2 Hours or so of racing from F class to R1 so its 9 straight short races. As it's just for fun there is no issues if you hit someone by accident but it is good practise running with people.

I think wednesdays are a hell of a lot different from normal racing, ive noticed generally people are more than happy to wipe others out during these runs.  In fact, its something that id like to see sorted a bit.  Or it could just be that there are far more people on track at differing levels of ability causing the crashing.  You may not have noticed at the front church but there was generally carnage at Infineon last wednesday in every race.

However id be willing to do some running with you the BD.

That's what Wednesday nights are for :) There just casual no worries racing. Although it does give you the chance to learn how to recover from crashes. It's how im able to keep a car going even if I've been whacked. Only time I struggle is when I roll it :(

But yeah the main reason for accidents on Wednesday is due to the different cars / drivers and skill levels

I just re-read what i wrote and it came out wrong.  Wednesdays are more 'bumpy' as it were, that i dont mind, i am a Rallycross fan 1st and foremost, side to side, nudges etc, got no problem, i just get bothered when someone is bumping you every corner, then you end up hitting them and they go off in a mini sulk.  This aint F1, bumping is going to happen, people should (as you have said) learn to deal with it  and take it as well as give it out. As long as its not blatant ramming i may add.

Hell Gizzie apolagised for doing a very aggresive overtake on me last night, hell i was drooling over it.  Wish id see more fair aggresion rather than accidents and blatant cheating leading to mini vendettas.

That probably aint come out right, but its hard for me to describe with my brain

Then wednesdays it will be. Winning is fun but racing with somebody is better.

yup, the only time i get frustrated is when im not beating myself.  The most satisfying person to beat is always yourself.

Most of us do some racing in the evenings though, just join in with them.  Its what i do and im actually getting a lot better.  Except with General, he's the only one i cant seem to avoid hitting lol

Big daddy.... One thing that has helped me is getting into a series and sticking with it. I started off stressed out not wanting to hit anyone, and it happened from time to time but it pushed me so much to learn to race clean. Ive gotten several comments recently in the clios how people aren't affraid to race with me like they used to and I think that stems from racing these guys over and over. And you are absolutely right, the actual racing is the best part (not that ive got a win or podium) but i have gotten so much more fun racing someone for 3rd or 4th for 20 laps!

Can be done. You need to modify the end of the composite cable. So you can plug both the hdmi and composite. Just remove the plastic. Then you plug the head phones in to the composite and the tv with the hdmi

Guys, IF your TV has red and white AUDIO output jacks on the rear, you simply plug into those instead of the adapter used to plug into the old Xbox output cables. It's the same end result, no cutting, no adapter to buy, just requires a relativlely new TV, mines 4 or 5 years old?

Thanks for the information though. It took about 30 seconds on Google and then all I did was look on the back of the TV and I was done.

I gotta tell ya though, it's like a brand new game now...you guys are in trouble, now I can see...

Rumour has it there's a $7 adaptor on the market for the Xbox, the plug mimics the bundle on the back but it only engages the audio outs so it doesn't trip the default video away from the HDMI...and it sounds cheap enough.

It just occurred to me that I might need a headset microphone to do any of this stuff... any recommendations? What should I expect to spend on such a thing?

Are you using a fantatec wheel or something else?  If your using something else, then I would find the least expensive headset you can find.  Just know that it will not work on the Xbox One unless you purchase an adapter for it sometime in early 2014.

Use whatever you got even if it's the cheap wired one for the controller. I recommend an ms wireless headset tho, probably the cheapest wireless route.

If you create a tune or paint it will be unlocked, the only time it will be locked is if you put it on your SF, unless you gift it out to someone then it will be unlocked

One thing to note, if you have any layers/decals that you used as part of your paint that you downloaded from someones SF, then your paint will be locked.  You will see a small padlock on the layer.

Also using manufacturer decals will stop you from selling or gifting. Basically if you want to sell or gift paints they have to be 100% made by you or use items that have been sent to you unlocked.

If you have done the tunes yourself they won't be locked. The only tunes that are locked are the ones you buy from the sf or auction house.

Umm, I could swear I used to sell paints on the storefront using manufacturer in game vinyls, but could not gift that paint if they were included. I might be wrong, age has a way of messing with your memory. I'll have to go back and look at that again.

I think you are right. If the decal came from T10 it could be on a car to be sold in the AH. None from the storefronts.

Does anyone else practice late braking techniques during your everyday driving? I tend not to when a car is right behind me, it freaks them out :)
