I like to downshift without braking because I want to hear what other horns sound like in heavy traffic.

I used to do that, but since I've taken back up riding the Harley even though I don't need to touch the brake downshifting, I do so to avoid getting run over.

Really think this is a key reason people get hit on bikes. Downshifting is such a quick decel on a bike and people don't pay attention when following them.

I have gone back to the wheel. As a result, I have decided to start driving in E, D and C class cars so that I can work on my technique. I don't run any assists and my braking line is always off. I have no intention of turning any of that stuff back on, EVER. So, I am looking to see if anyone is interested in running some races here and there in these lower classes. Nothing organized about it but the time and day we will race. I can build some cars and put them in the garage if people want to drive what I'm driving. Or folks can run something they have built. I generally avoid putting aero on cars so anything I build probably won't have aero. If anyone is interested just shoot me a PM. I am usually on late nights EST (like 11pm or later) but sometimes I get on in the daytime as well.

See, I had a second child this past March and couldn't get downstairs to my race room so I had to be upstairs in the living room and use the controller. Now he's gotten old enough that I can get back down there (I hope that lasts) so I'm back on the wheel. So, if you PM me and want to race I'll send an invite if I see you on. Thanks.

Oh, Im not the fastest but I usually run pretty cleanly so I'm more than willing to run with anyone. Anyone is welcomed. Thanks.

Wish our schedules were more similar Snappy. Always a pleasure to race against you and Parcells also loves the lower class races but for now I guess I'll just hope our paths cross in the not too distant future and offer some unsolicited biological realities for you.. This coming from a guy with no children (that I'm aware of) so take it with a grain of salt and dont forget the soiurce either smiley

Parcells is a little surprised you and your wife decided to go for the standard 2.5 children and I say this because your first son was so damn cute I'm pretty sure you were both disappointed in the outcome of your second, it only makes sense. Furthermore I'm positive your second child will not regress in age so if you want to prevent using a stupid controller in the future I suggest you stop depositing your member every time your wife ask you to come to bed...stroke it out yourself bud if you need to, its a money saver really.

Now if you'll excuse me I need to go and replensih my savings.

Anytime we are both on and not doing anything, let me know.  I always enjoy racing with you

Thanks Parcells. Good advice :-) The second boy is very different from his big brother but equally as cute. I love to show them off so I'll post a pick here soon.

And thanks to you too Grim. I'll have to get your wheel settings and compare them to see if I'm even set up right.

Yes but from the pit exit not on the main straight. The lap time also finishes at the pit start.

Iam contemplating purchasing a ps3 to join you guys in some gt6 races!  How is gt6 ? Is there enough cars and tracks to make the following series.....btcc/wtcc, gt3, and dtm?

Who is the car customizing and tuning.....similar to fm4?

Cheers

GT6 is by far the best and most comprehensive racing game ever made.

Over 100 variations of tracks so tracks are covered.

With over 1200 cars (yes there are allot of year model cars) you wont get board any time next year

Tuning - If you think like I do in Forza its no good. I needed to open my mind more. The game uses PP (Same as PI points) but if you go over on your target PP mark you can add weight or turn the power down basically using the ECU.

With the weight though you can specify where to put it on the car so that also adds to the tuning of the car.

You can add / remove wings, wheels body kits etc like Forza.

You also have to maintain your car with oil changes, Engine rebuilds, Chassis strengthening, etc.

This game makes me feel good. The Ring is so fucking hard its insain but that 1 lap you do without destroying your car will make you very happy.

One has to first possess it to be comfortable with it...just makes it that much harder to answer...
