Hey guys, the build and tracks are posted. Car is the 2012 Scion FR-S, stock with sport soft tires. Its free DLC. Just go to Playstation Store, download it and then install it in game as usual. Also, make sure you get Twin Ring Motegi, which is also available for $4.99 from the Playstation Store.
Trying to figure out the Scion FR-S. At the Dealership it states a PP of 406. When you buy it and it is in your garage it has a PP of 402. You build states PP 399. Help a Dumb Ass Out!

Not sure why there is a difference in PP. I got mine by first downloading it from the Playstation Store. I then "installed" it like you install any other DLC, first menu after game loads, far right red button on screen. The car then automatically showed up in my truck. I accepted delivery, bought some sport softs and then raced with it. Is it possible that the Scion in the new car dealership is a different model?
I've seen that before where the advertised PP in the dealership does not reflect reality after purchase. In any case don't worry about it, buy the car, throw on the soft tyres and you'll be good to go. We don't have cheaters amongst us and I rarely (as in almost never) set any restrictions even when we run the spec cars. If anyone feels the need to cheat to win a race or whatever, they're missing the point and what do I care?
Hey guys, I should be on tonight by about 5:30pm PST. Would it be OK to start the spec car races at that point? I have to duck out at 7pm to take my kids to swim lessons, but I wanted to get some races in with the spec car before I depart.
Damn it....I'm out tonight too. Helping a friend pick up a car after work and need to get ready for the trip I'm leaving on tomorrow....still don't even have the route planned yet.
Its easy. Turn on your PS3. Go to the Playstation Store. Download Twin Ring Motegi (costs $5) and the 2013 Scion (its free). Boot up the game. Before you go into GT Life, hit the red icon on the left and "install" the DLC you just downloaded. The track will be available from that point forward. The car will be in your delivery truck. Get it from the truck, add sport soft tires and away we go.
i found it thanks.I get lost sometimes. Old age I guess
I know this game better than the back of my own hand, I have played GT5 more than any other video game, ever.... My garage recently hit 1060 cars, with more to come. And, I now have the official wheel and shifter of GT5, the Thrustmaster T500RS wheel and pedals and the THR8S shifter.
So, I don't expect you to be as obsessive about this game as me...
Thanks for coaxing me into racing again with GT5. Had a really great time and I almost forgot how good it feels to run a race without getting the FK'ing Boot. Seems I have this unlucky streak going as far back as Forza 3. My car to car skills need to be polished up and I ask those that were racing to forgive me for any uninententional bumps...Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it Wheels, hope to see you back. Some very nice battles last night but that’s status quo. Too bad we had 2 reliable regulars missing last night but it is the summer months so not overly shocking and I have noticed over the last month that there are usually only 3-4 guys for the first half hour or so which again I contribute to the nicer weather but oh well.
Do not take this the wrong way Sir but if Parcells can make a recommendation you should drop that stupid skid recovery assist ASAP. We’ll let you drive with it as long as you like (or until you start dive bombing into every corner ) that’s for sure but you’re doing yourself no favors by leaving it on. Initially (like the first couple of races last night when it was forced off) you will lose control of the car more frequently and it can be a tad frustrating but in the long run you will definitely have better car control.
Each car has its own “limit” as to how far you can push it before you lose traction and this assist takes that “limit” and pushes it further into the unrealistic range which gives you a false sense of security as to what the cars actual “limit” really is. Use it if you wish and/or consider turning it off and adding some traction control maybe it don’t matter much as long as we have some close battles.
P.S. What amazes me is that I never encountered anything like that in Forza..Physics are way different I guess. There is no skid recovery in Forza (I Think) and I run with no assists with NO back end fishing around all the time but with GT5 it jumps ALL around and seems more like Forza with it on!
Skid recovery is without a doubt the biggest assist in GT5 which is kind of why we decided as group long ago to force it off and over time those of us that did use it got used to having it off. As such I always force it off when setting up the room but whenever you want it on just say so or simply change the setting yourself (host has no more control over the room than any participant)…it may take more than one week for you settle in without it???
From time to time we do run super-powerful cars where one or more of us would like to use it so we turn it on, no big deal. And lets be honest here, the spec car last night (after a couple races I was actually loving it…having figured the beast out) was very touchy in the rear end coming out of corners. I doubt ANYONE last night didn’t completely lose control of this car at one point or another (3-4 times for Parcells) so don’t judge it based on this one car, which of course you’re not nor am I insinuating that you are.
If no one builds a spec car for next week I’ll regurgitate a previously run car that is less susceptible to spinning out.

I went ahead and built a car and selected some tracks for this coming week's spec races. Its a good car that I stumbled across while doing the seasonal event time trial 40 this morning. Its a Nissan Skyline 370GT coupe, PP=499. You can use it to beat the time trial and several of the 500pp or below seasonal events. If someone wants to build a car for this week, no problemo, just bump this one back.
mmmmm, sounds juicy!

Enjoy!!!!
Its there, but I added the year, 2012, to the file name to make it stand out more.
I moved this weeks spreadsheet to the far left so it's easier to find.

Not gonna make it tonight
My brake pedal is not working correctly and have had too much going on to be able to look into it yet

Still starting at 7:00 EST??
Yes or shortly thereafter, have to purchase, download etc tonight's car yet.
Parcells has decided Craig can race the spec car HE built as soon as he get's on, it seems like the right thing to do, even though I'm not sure why
whats with the dlc car choice. I guess it forza tonight.
LOL, it's a free DLC car, just have to download it like I'm about to do.
where and how

Very simple, just do it!!!
At the Store...Download and then download again on GT5 I believe!

with the scion I bought 5 minutes ago, my garage officially hit 180 cars, I'm cruizen here boys!
It's not old age bud, that playstation store can be confusing with so many vague like options. On par with GT5's menu system, it stinks!
