Phew back from another day of swordfighting and entertaining several hundred people, had a lot of positive feedback and heard tales of our competitors being...well shite was the word used. Some great networking with the event organizers who were most interested to hear they could book us directly and not have to go through the company that has been a thorn in my side for the last three years, hopefully next year we can kick then into touch and rely on our own sources for work.

Heh that would be nice, It really pains me that the company who subcontract us are such arsholes. For example last gig they had a fugley bint with a display that consisted of a basket of shop bought bread and some leaves, purporting to be a medievil food display, I have several thousand pounds worth of armour, weapons, shields etc, a display that is always heaving with people all day, we talk to each one, answering questions, letting them handle the kit, even give sword lessons to those that ask, the only brake from that is when we do the fight display, she had no one at all interested in her basket of bread. She gets exactly the same money as me! I am loading the car an hour before I leave, when I get home I have to unload and clean it all, the day starts at 6:30 and ends at 10 pm...Is it wrong I get a little pissed off?

Partly that, I know her, she is a compulsive liar, hypochondriac and general bad news, she also goes out with a member of my group...how great is that. Yes she is working the system, but I can't say anything for obvious reasons. Ah it's all part of the game I'm in. The company that subs us hates the fact we are independent, and not one of their minions. The end result is they are trying to split the group so they can employ some as individuals minions.

I burned way to much of it up on the computer this weekend. Got a couple races in, including a 2 hour endurance race at Bathurst (996 GT3) and a 1 hour endurance race at Silverstone ('72 911ST). I also managed to do something I haven't done in a long time.....stayed up all night Friday night. Logged into Guild Wars 2 after running the Bathurst race (after some food) to hook up with a couple people for some good ole fashion slayin'. 4-5 of us in my guild captured and claimed a tower that we held for nearly 6 hours before getting steamrolled by 30+ enemies from Jade Quarry (already repelled a force that size once) and half a dozen golems (seige robots, of which they didn't have the first time around). 3 of the golems were Omegas. We repelled for as long as we could, called for backup, and waited for our impending doom around 4:30 am when our cries for backup went ignored. We then fell back to Garrison, where we fought JQ for nearly an hour inside the walls after they broke through. We eventually lost that as well (no manpower), and by then the sun was coming up, so we all logged off for the "night".
And Kit, Trapper Keeper.....now that is a blast from the past! Surprised to see they still make them.
Huh I get to use it a lot, and mercurial, and fat bitch and some less flattering epitaphs...But that is enough on the trals and trbulations of my other life. I have a Siminstruments Dashboard added to my race rig and that adds to my general enjollyment.

Swapped out the door handle on the Corrado then decided it was time to go kill some people. Logged into GW2 and had opportunity to light up a couple unsuspecting Dragonbrand infiltrators in our supply camp with arrow carts. Show me the shineys!
In fact, if one was high and with way too much time on their hands you could go as far as suggesting its been a plethora of years since you've seen the word Machiavellian used in a sentence if you dont count this sentence. More surprising is this is the second time in 5 seconds you've seen the word plethora used in a sentence and tell me how often that happens?

Funny you should say that, I was racing with Parcells the other day in Forza and your name came up. It really wouldn't be fair to repeat what he said your driving was like, lets just say I remember the words slow and timmy followed by quite a bit of laughter.
I think I may have upset the might Sarcasmo again. Why do I keep repeating that mistake? What's worse is he just apologized to Parcells and I had to go and be such a jerk. Oh well, such is life.
