I'm going to be an uncle again .... any minute now!

I am an uncle and have been for just over 7 years. My niece was born on August 23rd of 2000, and any second now, she is going to have a brother. I've been on pins and needles waiting on this for WEEKS and now my sister is in labor and, as I have already said like 3 times, the baby will be here IN MERE MINUTES!!!!

I wish I could be there for it, but we aren't going to be in town with them until tomorrow evening. But, I am taking an extra day off from work for the holiday weekend, so I will get to spend 4 days with my nephew.

Ong-Bak PWNS all other fight movies ever made

A movie was made about 4 years ago that kicks so much ass I can barely describe it.  The name of the film is “Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior”, but don’t let the lame title fool you, this is quite simply, hands down, the best action/fighting movie I have ever fucking seen.  And let me tell you, I have seen more than my share of these types of films.  Before I saw “Ong-Bak” I would probably have listed one of Jackie Chan’s many films as my all time favorite (depending on my mood I might say “Operation Condor” or “Police Story” or somet

That is DOCTOR Raste to you

Raste/Irion/Stephen completed a successful defense of his doctoral defense yesterday, so that means he is now officially, for-reals, a Ph. D.  I saw it with my own two eyes, and it was awesome beyond words.  I've had the sincere honor of being his friend for almost exactly 13 years now, and I can't tell you how proud I am of all his accomplishment.  Stephen was always a dedicated student, even when we were just taking Physics and A.P.

A Truck is a Terrible Thing to Waste

As if Microsoft hasn’t given me enough reasons to continue to postpone my purchase of a 360, I now have non-gaming-related reasons to keep me from dropping half a grand on “toys”.  My friggin’ truck just died on me.  :(

Tug-o-war

From the moment the Xbox 360 was first announced, I have been involved in a constant inner struggle about whether or not to buy one.  It seems like every time I heard something good about the console that excited me, I then heard something bad that turned me off.  Now we are closing in on the 2 year anniversary of the system’s launch and I STILL can’t figure out if now is a good time to buy one.  Why?  Because it seems like Microsoft is bound and determined to continue their stumble-fuck, jack-legged moronitude indefinitely.  If these crack-smokers could get their collective act together for a
