So I might've gotten upset too soon (this was probably due to an unpleasant and long wait at FedEx to pick up my package last night).  Oh well, Comp USA hasn't responded to my email yet anyway.  I went into the BIOS and checked the settings - it says 1.8 GHz processor and 512 MB DDR RAM.  Once I rebooted, it actually said 1.79 GHz processor (although this has fluctuated between 789 MHz and 1.8 GHz since, which is understandable since that's an estimate) but still said 384 MB RAM when I looked at the properties for "My Computer."  I opened up the laptop, pulled out the RAM and verified that the

I was happy that my laptop arrived this evening until I saw that it had 384 MB DDR RAM instead of 512 MB and had a 1.58 GHz processor instead of a 1.8 GHz processor, like my order clearly shows.  I'm really not fucking happy.  I'm going to fucking tear someone a new one!!!!!!

We got home from Maryland last night around midnight.  I get irritable whenever we return from a trip that late and have to a resume normal workday the following morning.  That did not escape my wife's attention, so after a bit of bickering, we unloaded everything, fed the boy, and got ourselves to bed.  Tonight we'll try to do everything we normally do plus get groceries and do laundry.  Fun, fun!

Here's a detailed story about this coming weekend...read it if you're bored.  If you don't read it, suck it.

Yesterday I was rear ended at the intersection leaving my son's daycare. The driver wasn't going fast at all and no one was hurt, but there's a good bit of damage to the back left of my Ford Escape. I called the driver's insurance company today to work through getting it repaired. The Liberty Mutual rep I spoke with was a little snotty with me, which I did not appreciate. Basically I wanted to have the estimate and the work done at the Ford dealership that does all my work.

HP has again delayed the ship date for my laptop. First, they said it'd ship on Sept 29th when I placed the order on Sept 11. Then they said Oct 3rd. Now they're saying Oct 5th. This is fucking ridiculous! I'm getting angrier by the second....

I just emailed HP's president, Mark Hurd:

Dear Mr. Hurd,

Being a critic of MM, I normally only go in when I can't do customs.  However, I had a great time last night doing team slayer with Eksessiv, Caesar, and Beestie last night.  After seven games, only one team actually got more than 27 kills on us, and we won that one 50-48.  It was strange to do TS against guys in the upper 20s and lower 30s and not play any cheaters.  Check out the games (Bungie links, sorry, no vids).  We totally destroyed some kids:

So it occurred to me today that last week, a CompUSA rep told me my laptop would arrive in a week.  He also said that I'd receive an email with the tracking number once it shipped.  So far, I've received jack in my inbox.  I called them again today to say "WTF?"  The rep told me that HP has pushed my laptop's shipping date to October 3rd.  It's not even shipping for 3 weeks after I ordered it, which is ridiculous.  But what bothers me more is that if I hadn't called, I would've received absolutely no information on my order's status.  They don't send out emails whenever an order is delayed?
