Quiet one today so far. Some paperwork required in the aftermath of last week's PSU catastrophe, which I really should have done yesterday afernoon, but I was busy putting the finishing touches to an article that I promised Codemonkey almost a year ago. It should be up on the site in a day or two I think. Prepare yourselves...

I managed to stay off of Medieval last night, which pleased my girlfriend. Even managed to get to bed early (for us), and I indulged myself in a gentle lie-in this morning, so I feel almost human today.

Argh! All hands on deck at work just now, I'm afraid. One of the sites I look after had a scheduled powerdown over the weekend, which isn't usually a problem, but there were problem getting the power back up on yesterday morning, meaning that I was in the office for 7.30 to power up the servers, telephones and network kit, only to have to wait around until 10.30 for the power to be restored.

By Christ, I'm knackered today. We were at a wedding all day yesterday - we left around one and didn't get home until around eleven.  Still, it was cool seeing some old friends that I haven't seen in years.

Okay, so I'm going to try, not quite  abook review, but a book recommendation. Maybe more of a book evangelisation. I've just finished reading a fantastic book, one which has thrilled and chilled me in equal amounts.
