Wheee! Too much coffee and not enough food makes Snake go twitchy!

I have the office to myself this morning, so I am taking advantage of it by not doing anything really different than usual. Although, I am able to play the soundtrack to Princess Mononoke at loud volume - something I can't normally do. Not that my colleagues would necesarilly mind, they're decent enough guys, but I'm just too damn nice to thrust my musical tastes upon them.

Fifty-Seventh

Hello there everyone, my name is Craig, and I'm a 'Total War'-oholic.

I picked up the habit several years ago - I started with the original Shogun: Total War, although if I'm honest, I think I started a long time before that, with James Clavell's Shogun. I think I saw repeats of that on television before I was even 10 years old, and I Japan has fascinated me since then. I've always been a fan of war games in almost any form, RTS particularly, but I wouldn't turn my nose up at map-based, turn-based, hex-based strategy games.

Fifty-Sixth

I'm cream-crackered again. For some unknown reason when I was 'tidying' the hard drive on my PC, I reinstalled Rome: Total War, and I've been playing it for the past couple of nights. Not hardcore you understand, but I'll log on after I've had dinner and chilled out for a while, and play it right up to 11 or 12, then start getting ready for bed.

I did the same thing last night, and jumped into bed just after midnight. Then I made the huge mistake of jumping online with my iBook to send a quick email to one of my friends about an idea he'd had for a Warhammer 40K RPG game.

Ai-ya Tian! Another Monday, another catastrophic screw-up due to a power down. Different office, same shit. Well, slightly different shit anyway. I'm not going to rant about it, because really, who wants to read me bitching for a couple hundred words?
