I like so many others, downloaded the Modern Warfare 2  "Resurgence Pack" and, of course, last night's Clan Night was dedicated almost exclusively to the new maps. And once again, Infinity decided to recycle some maps from Call of Duty 4 (hereforth known as COD4)  and add them to  this pack.

If you don't play Red Dead Redemption or don't give a rip about some noobs first experience with the multiplayer aspect of th game, then you should probably just move along...

I've been sitting here at the house watching a half a dozen nine year olds run around shrieking at the top of their lungs with the occasional "oh MY GOD!" interspersed with Myley Cyrus / Taylor Swift songs. Yep, its a sleepover. YAY. Normally, by this time of night, I would have a little "me time" with the 360 but for some reason, the wife thinks it would be a bad thing for a bunch of little girls to watch me shoot videogame characters with an assault rifle. Go figure. Apparently making me listen to "Party in the U.S.A" for the umpteenth time isn't cruel or unusual.

Well, last night was the first PCP Battlefield Bad Company 2 night and I was looking forward to getting togewther with fellow PCPers and playing a few matches with some of the people I've met through COD. It was good to see a lot of the gamertags I usually either see on MW2 or here reading the forum and blogs. My biggest problem was I couldn't communicate with anyone. I was invited into a party with apNixx, and jumped in but for some reason, I could hear them talking through the in game sound in my my headphones, but not through the seperate voice channel.

I was watching the news tonight and there was a segment on the Supreme Court preparing to hear a case to decide if States have the right to ban the sale of certain videogames and movies to minors. This case started in where else, California when Gov. Schwartzenegger signed the ban into law. The argument is that violent videogames and movies with graphic or gratuitious violence can make impressionable children desensitized to violence and make them  more likely to commit violent acts.

O.K , since last time, my Battlefield 2 experience has gotten a little better. I am still learnig the maps, but I'm actually starting to contribute something productive  to the squad other than being a bullet catcher.  I also played the single player campaign through and I thought the story line was as good as Modern Warfare. The little inside jokes at MW2 were  funny enough to at least crack a smile.  I also like achievements that don't require you to play the entire campaign again on veteran.  So, is it better than MW2? No, not better, but better than I first thought.
