Whats on TV...

Time for a review of the new TV season already in progress.

Sunday
1) The Simpsons, Family Guy & American Dad.  The Simpsons has really lost its luster since its humorous beginnings, but I'll still watch it because of the occasional funny bits. Family Guy & American Dad are the highlights of the week. Usually very funny initially and sometimes funnier in repeated viewings just to catch the subtle humour.

Arrested for what?!

No, not me.

Student charged with harassing police dog

I thought the charge for resisting arrest without violence is ludicrous, then along comes the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and arrests a 15yo kid for harassing a K-9 dog. To push the matter into the near-insane levels, the dog was involved in giving a presentation at a school at the time. So, not in the line of duty. Not chasing a subject-of-interest/perp. But giving a presentation at a school.

Wotta week...

Umm, wow. Got a lot accomplished, gaming-wise.

Finished Half-Life 2 & HL2 Episode 1 and drove my gamerscore to a nice even 3K.

I must write, though, that HL2 was enjoyable playing even through the extremely frustrating freezing and puzzles. I read somewhere that the freezing problem in HL2 was caused by an issues with the Source engine, but I'm not sure I buy that line. If that were true, why would Valve port such an issue to the 360? And why wouldn't the bug have also shown on HL2 Ep 1? Kind of odd.

Weekly recap...

...courtesy of 360voice.

Are you ready for a recap? I know I am! Giddyup: Not two, not five, but SEVEN days of gaming in a row! Last week was as solid as it gets when it comes to NotStyro throwing down with the games. It was productive... Gamerscore went up 325 points so I am happy. Yay for 16 achievements! w00t!

I prodded NotStyro to try a new game: The Orange Box. It was a lot cooler than I thought it would be. Oh, and from what I remember, NotStyro's favorite game last week was The Orange Box. He played it on 5 of the days.
