Underappreciated literature...

I read aloud often; having a two year old will do that. Only when you read aloud to you gain an appreciation for kiddie books. Now I mean the real kiddie books, the ones for very small minds. The ones with a very, very simple story: usually board books. They have to have a cadence or else when you read them it's difficult to make it through. Trust me on this. If a book has the wrong flow it makes it a rough read. Not the first time, but the 8th time in a row you will want to stick a pencil in your ear.

It's only when I play with strangers that I realise...

Most of the people I play with on 2o2p are amazing players.

Baby's First Lie

Erica just told my husband that Mommy said she could go for a wagon ride now. It's 6:50 at night.  Yeah right!

My dear BasBleu reminded me that my original blog purpose was the 50 book challenge: 50 books one year. Now, at that time I had just had Erica, and I was actually keeping up. I could nurse and read at the same time, she napped all  the time. It was good. Then she actually started getting active and the wheels fell off the reading cart.  I admit: I can do some of the following but not all:

Have a meaningful relationship with my husband

What Women Want (Respect v Adoration)

What *do* women want? It’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately and I may be getting closer to the answer. We want respect and adoration. But here’s the rub. We can’t have it.

Instead of Picking Your Nose...

Wiggle your fingers.

Yes. Erica has discovered the wonderment that is her own nose.  "Boogers... we did not invite you to this party... out you go!" So yeah. We are attempting to teach her that instead of picking her nose, she could wiggle her fingers. It's a losing battle, really.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance night?

It may happen: some talk of some folks in 2old2rpg getting together sometime to play MUA. I (heart) that game, too much fun. I've blogged about it before, but yea. I love it.

This weekend I had to scratch a gaming itch though... Beautiful Katamari. It's stupid, it's tacky. It's, it's Beautiful. Ya.. I like it lots. Need ot get 100 points in more stages so I can do the infinite mode. I only got  it in one. got about 90+ in a couple more. Need to get rolling!

You guys have any guilty pleasures game wise?
