Latest Family Member....

A while ago I was reading about stuff to do with a toddler. One idea was to sprout a potato and grow it together. Great idea! Stuck a sweet potato in a glass added water and through the miracle of life: BAM! We have:

Bud the Spud.

So: being the person that I am, I take Bud, put him (yes: it's a him) into a big glass jar with dirt. And alas! Over our vacation in Toronto, he grew even more. But the container is going to be too small soon. Mom suggested I go to Walmart and get a cheap fish bowl and grow him in there.

COD: W@W v MW

Okay this is not to say which is the better game, it's just an observation.  I think I'm better at W@W than MW. I wonder why this is? Is it because that W@W is newer, and therefore the people I enter into a room with are not 10X prestige? Is it the weapons? Is it the game? Anyone else find that they are better in one than the other? Any theories as to why this happens? I use the MP40 in W@W, and the m16 in MV. Maybe I should level up a SMG in MW to get a red dot sight and see how I like it.  Any recommendations?

Underappreciated literature...

I read aloud often; having a two year old will do that. Only when you read aloud to you gain an appreciation for kiddie books. Now I mean the real kiddie books, the ones for very small minds. The ones with a very, very simple story: usually board books. They have to have a cadence or else when you read them it's difficult to make it through. Trust me on this. If a book has the wrong flow it makes it a rough read. Not the first time, but the 8th time in a row you will want to stick a pencil in your ear.
