Assassin's Creed

This saturday my fiance is headed out with a bunch of her friends for her bachelorette party (we are getting married Feb 9 WOOOHOO).  That means that I am going to have all day and night Saturday as well as the wee hours of Sunday morning all to myself.  I though the best way to keep my mind of my hot soon to be wife running around having fun with her friends would be to jump in to a new game.  So there I was in the local game shop trying to come to a decision on what game it would be with Mass Effect in one hand and Assassin's Creed in the other.  It looks like they are both getting good b

The Orange Box

I finally got through HL2 and I am about to finish Episone One.  Even though this is old in terms of video games, I have to say I'm highly impressed.  The HL series is a great shooter  with a deep story.  There are many different weapons you can choose from while navigating your way through the HL world.  HL2, Episode One and Episode Two provide hours and hours of fast paced action that easily capitivates.  I am really looking forward to jumping into Episode Two to see what it has to offer.  Portal and Team Fortress 2 have shown to offer something very unique in terms of a puzzle and a MP game

Xbox Live: Getting Paid To Game

I'm sure that we all know about the nonsense that goes on with random matches on Live (rude people, team killing etc.) One interesting thing that I seem to run into quite often is people talking trash and saying "Oh yeah well I get paid 50k/year to play games". I'm not saying anything bad about Halo 3 players but this usually happens when I'm in a Halo 3 party. I then start to think to myself how it is possible for someone to be a paid professional yet still have the same skill level (21) and rank as me? Is my skill level really that close to that of a paid professional?

COD4: Finished The Campaign

It only took a little while longer but I was able to zip through the campaign.  It was extremely good while it lasted but did seem to be short.  That is ok because the single player story blasted off to a 10 at the beginning and never looked back.  There are still stome achievements that I would like to go back and get so I will most likely play it again with the Ventran difficulty.
