Back To Best Buy With My Blue-Ray Player.......I Mean PS3

Less than a week after getting a 40GB PS3 for my birthday I had to return it because it wouldn't read disk anymore.  The system started up without any problems and you could browse all the menus but when you put a disk in (game or Blue-Ray) nothing would happen.  I did a quick search on the PS3 forums and a few people were also reporting the same thing.  The interesting common thread between the people reporting this problem was that we all purchased the PS3 that was bundle with Spiderman 3 on Blue-Ray.  Something interesting to think about.  Thankfully Best Buy took it back and let me pick up

What A Birthday It Was

I thought the xbox 360 cake would be the sweetest thing I got on my birthday.  I woke up in the morning and discovered how wrong I was.  I can now say that I am the proud owner of a shiny new Blue-Ray player (or as some people in the gaming community call it, a PS3).  That's right I got a PS3 for my birthday!  I was shocked to say the least.  On top of that I got a few Blue-Ray movies and a gift certificate to Best Buy that allowed me to go pick up a copy of Unreal Tournament III.  I was in man toy heaven.  Movies in 1080 resolution and a chance to play some new games.  What more could I possi

The following is a picture of the cake my wife made me for my birthday tomorrow. I think she did a pretty good job

I Love The Colours Of The Rainbow

I have now had a week to play and digest the sequal that is R6V2.  Most of us have discored over the last week that this isn't really a sequal but more of an expansion.  That is OK with me though because it is quite a good expansion.  They have kept everything that was great with the original R6V and added some nice improvements.  The sprint function has to be one of the best improvements.  Anyone who played the original R6V knew how difficult it was to get away and not die when some threw a grenade at you.  Let's face it......It wasn't difficult.  It was impossible.  Once you heard that gr

Long Live The Long Weekend

Easter weekend is upon us which means extra time off work for some relaxing and games. I got the weekend off to the right start on friday with a nice marathon session of Rock Band World Band Tour with some friends. I have said it before but Rock Band is by far one of the most enjoyable Multiplayer games I have ever played. R6V2 is proving to be quite enjoyable. I'm still working my way through the single player campaign and have only scratched the surface of the terrorist hunt. I haven't even touched the multitude of other Co-op and MP game types.
