Run with It

Well, the weekend went alright, I suppose.

I finished the 60 questions for accreditation maintenance, which took around 6 or 7 hours.  Now I need to do the next part, which will be another 3 or 4, I'm pretty sure.

Played a little Star Wars Saga, but got Gamefly from my wife for the anniversary and Assassin's Creed should be here tomorrow.

I'm really looking forward to that.

Use the Force

I must admit, I am enjoying the Star Wars Saga game quite a bit.  The cut scenes are hilarious.

Going back through levels with other characters to get "Jedi" points and unlocking additional characters is fun as well.

I am about one third of the way through The Empire Strikes Back and I have just under 40% complete.

Not recommended for the obsessive compulsives out there unless you are controlled on your sertraline.

Dr. Phil Advises Personal Responsibility and Accountability

As a parent, you need to monitor what your children watch, eat, play and do.

Dr. Phil agrees that the problem may not lie in the games, but in the parent and child dynamic.

It may shock you to agree with Dr. Phil.  I can understand that.

Closer... Closer...

Alright, the high definition satellite television is go.

We have the Playstation 3 connected by HDMI, giving sound through the television, but I want to get it through my receiver via optical cable.

I'll figure that out this weekend as the spouse plans to take the kids to the grandparent's house to give me a chance to get caught up on paperwork.

I guess if I do four hours of paperwork Saturday morning and mid-day Sunday, it'll justify some good game time both nights, now that the college football season is wrapped aside from bowl games.

Generic Drugs

Generic medicines are good.

Just like you don't always need name brand products, generic medicines are good medicines.

Most medicines have at least two names, the chemical name (diphenhydramine) and a brand or trade name (Benadryl), which is usually capitalized.  Sometimes, the Canadian trade name is different (Allerdryl).  It is most common for scientific studies to refer to a medicine by the chemical name instead of a trade name.

Large screen. Totally.

I finally went and did it.  We found a television just prior to Thanksgiving that was going on sale that I wanted.  I ended up getting a 61" Samsung DLP LED rear-projection set about 2 weeks ago.   Someone pricematched it (Sears) with 10% of the difference in prices and I couldn't pass it up.
