I finally went and did it.  We found a television just prior to Thanksgiving that was going on sale that I wanted.  I ended up getting a 61" Samsung DLP LED rear-projection set about 2 weeks ago.   Someone pricematched it (Sears) with 10% of the difference in prices and I couldn't pass it up.

Overall, I really enjoyed the episode/movie, mainly because it has been six months since the last episode and it takes place during the best part of the series - with the Pegasus and before President Baltar.

If you TiVo'ed it, watch it.

Its that time of year again. 

Time to sit in traffic with grumpy children!  Nothing like four to five hours in the car with nothing to drink or eat since two states ago while stuck in a major metropolitan city's Thanksgiving rush traffic!  Let's play the game of "Who pooped?" or "How many veins are on daddy's forehead after that Tacoma cut him off for the third time?" or that old chestnut "Talk Radio talk back discussions with your spouse!"  (let's see where everyone's allegiances REALLY lie)

This is a quick plug for getting your influenza vaccine. This is now recommended for everyone that can get it (especially with ample supplies this year).

Your young children and school children should get it to minimize bringing this wonderful bug home. Young children may require a 2 step injection series, just be warned.

Adults and elderly folks should consider it, especially with other concomitant diseases like heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer or chronic lung disease.

Well, the inevitable happened. Mr. R finally died.

He was about sixty-five or seventy and had uncontrolled diabetes and hypertension for years. He's always been unable or unwilling to come in and have us check on him.

I thought Tuesday was a release day?  I mean really.  Totally new game day, right?  Isn't Assassin's Creed supposed to come out today?

Apparently not.  Which stinks.  I get a half day once a week at the office (it makes up for working all weekend several weekends a month, in my book).  This day is Tuesday.
