Hey naked guy -- STFU

Some guys in the gym locker room are just WAAAAY to comfortable with their bodies I guess.  Seriously, how much naked walking around do you need to do?   Do you really need to stand naked and shave at the sinks in the gym locker room?  Hell, even at home, I wear a towel when I'm shaving.  And WTF is this guy doing sitting naked and reading the newspaper?  This is a locker room, not a nudist colony.

Getting hit -- hard

As I train for my next tough man fight and reminisce about the path so far, my blogs will likely not be in any chronological order.  Today, let's talk about getting punched.

Post people haven't been in a fight in their adult life.  Fewer still have been in a fight sober.  Consequently, most people don't know what it feels like to get hit -- hard.  My first couple times in the ring sparring were playful affairs -- soft little punches to get the feel of things and build my confidence.  My third time in the ring, I took a real punch from my sparring partner.

My tough man fight: how it started...

My neighbor works for a company that sponsors The Milwaukee Rumble.  It's a tough man competition run by the same guys that do the ones shown on the FX channel.  Because of my neighbor's sponsorship of the event, we had front row seats for the 2004 Milwaukee Rumble.

My New Plan

It seems like whenever I blog, my blog only stays in the most recent four for about 20 minutes before getting knocked out by Falelorn, SoupNazzi, Codemonkey, TANK, or someone else. There are some great (and prolific) bloggers on this site. And how can I compete with cool videos and pics of hot babes and all that?

Discovered the gallery

It took me a while to discover the 2o2p gallery, but I'm glad I did.  It's cool to be able to put faces with the gamertags.  It's very easy to use -- you can just upload files from your PC, you don't have to link to some photo server.  I threw up a handful of screen captures from the video of my fight in The Milwaukee Rumble, a "tough man" competition.  At 37, I was the second oldest fighter out of 32 guys.  Even though I lost on points, it was an amazing experience.

Viva Progress

I've made considerable progress in Viva Piñata in the last couple of days.  I've made it from level 22 to level 33.  My main focus has been dealing with sour piñatas and attempting to tame them.  Some of these, like the mallowolf and the bonboon are real pains in the ass -- and the path you have to take to taming them is complex.

Still, it will be nice when I don't have to worry about these guys, though I may have many more iterations of sours to deal with between level 33 and level 50.  A great part of this game is the discovery process.
