I recently learned that an older gentleman in our community killed himself.  He was 68.  It is hard for me to imagine what that would be like.

It got me to thinking of this scene from The Shawshank Redemption.

Recently Cutie and I took a short trip to Dallas for the funeral of her grandmother. We thought the trip would be to hard for our kids (hard on them and hard on us) so we left them at home.  Neighbors and friends worked in shifts to get the kids to school, stay with them at home, etc.

One of our more enterprising friends brought supplies with her so the kids could make Thanksgiving Tshirts on which they would write what they are thankful for.

This morning I stumbled across an amazingly funny and brilliant short film by Don Hertzfeldt and I just had to post it.

All these funny clips and commercials for the Borat film reminded me of something funny I saw a couple years back that I thought I would share.  Some clever people put together a guidebook for a fictional Easter European country called Molvania.

I have been trying to remember the name of this show for years. I finally did some Googling and found it. 

The Vacant Lot. I loved this show.
