First the 360 dies.  I borrowed a 360 from a friend and now my Tritton headphones don't work right.  Everything sounds "tinny".  No stereo or surround sound.  I have pushed every button I can push.  Nothing helps.  Any ideas?  I wonder if a power surge or something zapped both of these items.  This sucks.

My 360 passed away last night. (See post below)  I have slept on it and I am going to go and get an Elite later today or tomorrow.  I want to make sure I am doing things right.  I use a 22" monitor to play on.  I bought a cord off ebay to hook up the 360 to the monitor.  Will that same cord connect a new Elite to the monitor or are they different?   Just want to know what I need if I go and buy the Elite.  I would hate to take it home and not be able to use it.

I coach a high school softball team. We have been on the road everyday this week. Been getting home late. I got home tonight ready to play Mass Effect which I bought at lunch. Looked forward to it all day. I stuck it in for about 15 minutes before I had to leave for the game. Get home and go downstairs to my man cave and boot the 360 up. WTF? Red lights everywhere. Finally they go away except for the bottom right one. I unplug everything and replug it. Same thing. Call Xbox figuring I will be getting a coffin. I got 14 months out of it.

I have been wanting to try a rpg. Not sure why because I tried Oblivion and couldn't get into it but to be fair, I didn't get very far before I gave up. I thought about Lost Odyssey but decided to give Mass Effect a try. J-Cat said I would like it so why not? Of course now I am confused. I don't even know how to start the game. I am use to putting a game in and shooting somebody. I have to decide what type of character to play with? Great. Any recommendations? Any hints you can give a newby? I really want to get into these things. I am just not sure the right way to approach it.
