Transfering Data

I finally decided to transfer data to my 120g drive last night.  I didn't want to transfer everything with the transfer cable and wipe out the old drive.  It is going upstairs for the family to use.  I wanted to leave the arcade games on it and all the demos my kids like to play.  It is not going to be hooked up to the internet.  I recovered my gamertag on the new hard drive.  I then redownloaded all the games and maps I had purchased.  I then used a borrowed memory unit and transfered all the game saves I wanted to transfer.  Now I have two machines with all my arcade games on it.  The family

Back From Atlanta

Just got back from Atlanta last night.  We weren't suppose to come back until tonight.  My student didn't make the finals of the marketing competition and wanted to come on home.  Okay by me.  I was starting to miss the family.  It was good to see my sister and her family while I was down there.  My nephew is growing like a weed.  I also think my brother in law will be getting a 360 in the near future.  Before he married my sister, he was a big gamer.  His house was the hangout for his friends and gaming and when my sister came into the picture, she put an end to his fun.  I brought my 360 alo

Microsoft

Update on heat pump.  It is back to normal.  Not sure how much it is going to cost me yet but it is working.  One of my student's dad has a business so I called him and he went by Monday and replaced the fan motor.  That same day, his son showed up to school in a brand new $25,000 truck.  I hope I am not making the first payment on that baby.

Good Grief

First the washing machine kicks the bucket.  Then the 360 decides to go visit the washing machine.  Then my kids wake me up this morning telling me that there is a noise downstairs.  Yeah, whatever.  Go back to bed.  I finally drag myself out of bed.  They weren't lying.  The heat pump isn't working now.  The fan outside is working.  You can turn it on inside and it kicks on like it is going to start but the inside fan, if there is such a thing, never starts blowing.  I am about tired of things breaking.

Xbox Update.....I May Be Screwed

My 360 died.  I called Xbox and they said it would be $99 to fix it.  I agree and give them my card information.  I get off the phone and realize I had bought an extended warranty from Walmart.  I dig out the receipt and call Walmart.  They tell me they will send me a shipping label.  I call Xbox back and cancel my order.  No problem they say.  I check my bank account and two days later, they recredit my account.  The next day I come home and there is a coffin on the front steps.  I box up the 360 and the next day it is on it's way to Texas.  Life is good........
