The capital gains tax is only 15%

There’s a new neighborhood about a two miles down the road from me, but it might as well be in another universe.  There's an almost finished home right at the entrance.  The asking price is $2.5 million.  You could say this is ten times more than my house would be worth on a good day.

Things you can buy at Target...

Off all the downsides associated with having children, requisite equipment purchases for their storage wasn't one of them. If I ever have any kids, I'll just chain them to a water pipe when their skills are not required.

Style Notes

The Faux-hawk. This is without a doubt the most inane male hair style in the history of human culture. Seriously. If an ancient Sumerian had tried to pull this look off, he would have taken the business end of a spear to the face. I do not know from whence it first spawned, but the style has been perpetuated by a seemingly endless parade of pseudo alt/punk/skater bands of late (all of which to me sound like they’re trying to ape Blink 182…who coincidentally succeeded solely by aping early Green Day). I’m guessing the faux-hawk sporting fop thinks his hair says

Stop...please.

I've got an accusation to make.  Some of you are still watching Mind of Mencia on Comedy Central.  Don't try denying it.  And I don't want to hear any bullshit excuses like, "It must have been my retarded nephew from Bakersfield whose family visited last weekend.  I simply don't buy it.

I know you are watching Mencia for one simple reason:  it's still on TV.  Never before assembled has been such a banal, contrived, bucket of unfunny bile than is Mencia's show.  It makes SNL from the 1990's look inspired in comparison.

Parallax of logic

Below is from Steve Hawk's blog.  Steve is a writer for the HBO original series John from Cincinnati.  The quote is attributed to David Milch, creator of JFC and the awesome but canceled Deadwood.  Milch was also a fraternity brother of George W. Bush at Yale until he was expelled (Milch, not Bush) for shooting out the siren of a cop car with a shot gun.

Weird

On Friday, July 13th, I officially had 1307 forum posts.

Which is strange, as one supposed origin of the whole superstition dates back to the betrayal of the Knights Templar by, among others the French King Phillip IV.  This occurred on October 13th in, you guessed it....1307

Odd coincidence.
