ha ha the gauntlet has been thrown, Yeah I am amazed at myself, just need to work on consistancey, about every 3rd or 4th lap I loose it big styley, but suppose that will come from doing lap after lap of practice, In a race situation, I would never keep up with you, not yet anyway, but watch out I'm coming out of the Shadders behind you. LOL
LOL yes consistancy is the key, and that is a matter of putting in the time. I will endevour to ensure I am always in front of course But that was a good time first time out in a new car, I'm soon going to have to up my game again...great!
If you're after cosistency, run some long sessions. Do a minimum of 2-30 laps in one sitting. Then you'll start to find some consistency. Especially if you do it in single player hotlap mode racing against your own ghost.
LOL 80 laps in two sessions today...same tomorrow, and that is just for the EUSL, in there was some STCC practise with Snappy and of cource deciding and running the track for saturday...I think I may have a problem LOL
Heh, once I get into it I just have to keep going until I gain even the smallest amount...at the moment I'm .116 off a 1:29 as no one has posted a time yet I don't know how far off I am so I'm just pushing against myself until I find out. Same with the STCC, all I know is at the moment I am fast enough to beat Snappy (He is struggling with his tune so that may not last) By the way I am using the second tune you sent me, the one with the short ratio box. Seems to work a treat on Suzuka.
The car has more to give. The gearing needs to be tweaked for the short track in order to get the most out of it. Right now it's geared for the back straight on the National Circuit so if you want I can make a little tweak to it and put a Short Circuit tune on the storefront. Everything else will stay the same, just a gear tweak.
Thanks Pap, I can't for the life of me get into the 16's let alone the 14's 1:17.047 is my best today so at least I have given Shadders another target. But the tune tweaked for the short circuit would be nice.
Got to say I don't think I'm a natural RWD driver I seem to get the hang of FWD like the one I use in the STCC much better, I am actually competitive in that. But that was the idea of using the Fairlady for my series, forces me to get to grips with it.
Thanks for your continuing interest as well, it's great to have both the cars and the tuner around to tweak if needed. Leaves nothing but the driving to work on

NP at all. You'll be in the 16's by the end of the day
What I'll do is send you the tweaked tune, and you can make it available on your own storefront. That way there's no confusion on which tune people should use for the D Hoppers from my storefront.

It's a different animal that's for sure. This car has just enough power to get loose if you're aggressive with the throttle. It's not quite as quick to kill you as the Nissan we drove in the EUSL, but it does still take some respect
Sounds great Paps, will grab a copy of the tune and give it a blast, see what we can do with it, 1.14's that would be amazing, but realistically I would be very happy just to break into 1.16's like Knight, will try and chase down your Ghost.
and like Knight said, thanks for your support, make our lives so much easier just concentrate on driving knowing we are using your great tunes

It's my pleasure! I haven't updated the tune yet so you should still have the one I used. I may not get a chance to do it today either, but I'll try.
I drove as hard as I could to get that time. I think I had to drive about 10 laps before I got through that first corner clean. I would continuously drop a tire off at track out and kill the lap, or overcompensate and cut too deep. Finally got one right
Not got back on to try it yet, mondays and tuesdays are my days for long sessions, outside them I just get on for series racing with the odd our here and there if she who must be obeyed is out running.
Shadders looks like you are right there with me so it is just consistency and the inevitable race nerves to contend with. Looks like we are going to be having some fun over the foreseeable future

No problem at all.
I got frustrated as hell trying to stick a clean lap. Just seems to be too many places were it's easy to attack too hard and drop a wheel.
Chasing my ghost I saw improvement in the three corners I expected, and was beating my ghost almost every single lap (even starting behind after turn 1). I'll have a go again to see if I can put up a faster clean one for ya.
Yes that was one of the reasons I picked this track, so hard to push hard and keep it clean. If Cotter can improve us on this track it should carry over. Don't know a faster lap will help us, can't even catch the one you have already done LOL

The new car is quicker so that should get you closer all by itself :)
Paps Hock short tune is up on my storefront...Can't fathom how to make it free, so it is at the lowest price. If anyone picks it up I will buy the equivalent again from Pap. See you at 19:50 when I will have the room open.
I ave a speaking engagement and then a business dinner, so I'm unavailable today from 1:30 till probably 6pm or later EDT. So wanted to run the Fairlady and maybe get educated a tad...
Oldschool I am hoping this is just the first of more such sessions. It's a great shame you can't make this one but hopefully all the drivers out there capable of passing on their skills will volunteer their services. I can also push this session back a couple of hours another week to accommodate others if it helps.
Skiwinv I am not sure to be honest, PDT is not on the google event sheet and that is what I use to work out times.
This project is going to take me a while. I've had to dig up part of my pation on order to get to a ruptured sewer pipe running out of my foundation. Not sure where this job is going to wid up TBH.
I'm going to shoot for making next week, but don't wait for me today.

Edit 1:29.986 and thats me done I think.
Hockenheim Short: 1:14.7
Replay & Ghost available.
Edit: Just noticed it was the fastest Fairlady on the boards
1:14:7
On one hand Aaaahhhh, on the other cheers mate, that is well handy. *wanders off muttering "four seconds...FOUR bleedin seconds"*

Tune sent. Ran a dirty
1:13.9. It's an unrealistic time for me though as it involved too much extra speed in corner 1. A 1:14.2 is very reasonable.
Only use gears 3 & 4.

first option is share or sell, share mean you buy it for free but locked still
Ah...you live and learn, well I will leave as is so Pap gets some fredits if anyone buys.
Planning to be around for this today; with the timezone changes I think it means 11:00 PDT for now right.
I ave a speaking engagement and then a business dinner, so I'm unavailable today from 1:30 till probably 6pm or later EDT. So wanted to run the Fairlady and maybe get educated a tad...
I apologize folks, but I'm not going to make todays session. I've got some plumbing problems here at the house I've got to deal with. Sorry.
