I would be interested in joining up in one of these events, I am new to this site so a little wet behind the ears still in terms of navigation and so on, so please excuse me if I have to sign up somewhere and have missed it.
Just keep browsing Ry you'll figure it out pretty quickly. Best bet is to visit the series and events sub-forum at the top of the 2O4F main forum page and look for the events calendar thread at the top...lists all the "organized" (or semi-organized, you be the judge) events with links to the corresponding event details threads. The first post will have the details, schedule etc, sign up if required. Don't get hung up on the specifics too much we're pretty relaxed around here (and old....er).
Other than that, it's mostly a bunch of bullshit.
The organizer of this event (Knight) is away this week so Parcells isn't sure if someone else will host it in his absence or not. If someone is they'll be along to advise.
Have had a look and registered interest in an event already (STCC I think it's called) and added some of the people who I think i need to on XBL. Will keep an eye out on the threads so im in the know!
Hey Ry. Send a FR to our active members gamertag active 2O4F. Then you can view the friends on that tag by viewing it from your own friends list on XBL. It's an excellent tool until you've made some friends of your own from within our group here.
It's been a pleasure welcoming you aboard Ry. I've had the right amount of beer and extras to semi-competently host our GT5 night now so we'll see you around and hope I didn't scare you off.
My first Saturday night session and I know realise that I am 4-5 seconds slower (at least) than the rest of the field so am going to have to step my game up somehow!
I really enjoyed the Mini vs Camaro battles, goog stuff and pretty close racing from what I could see from my solo lapping at the back of the field...
So, many thanks for the advice and apologise Mart for the coming together on the entrance to the banking at Sunset, I ran out of skill about a second before I hit you...
Now, talking of advice...
There seem to be parts of the tracks where I am faster than others and some parts where I it would appear that 'Miss Daisey' has taken up residance on the back seat....
Would anybody fancy taking me under their wing for some 'personal lessons' in a vain attempt to help knock 2 seconds off my rather pathetic times? Having said all that if we could reduce the race distance to 1 lap sprints I am pretty sure I could finish in the top 6, provided I start on pole!
Will add the Forza friend and hope to see a lot more of you for some more racing.
That would be great as my attempts to follow you through the final fast right before the hairpin at Infinion resulted in me becoming close friends with the wall...
Thanks for steppng in there Church. I'll be back on this saturday and will decide on track tomorrow. As usual we will be running the Fairlady with the relevent tune from Pap.
I'm gonna try to make it there this week Knight. The only thing that might hold me back is it's the middle of the day here (EST) and my daughter(just under 2 yrs) gets fed up with me sometimes when I play.
Should I add you as a friend to find the lobby, or what methods do you guys use around here?
Yes add me as a friend and then I can send you an invite or you can just join the session. Don't worry if you may have to drop out at any time, these are not races as such. If you are off the pace, then a faster driver will follow you and spot where you are loosing time and help you find faster lines. I have found the slowest drivers have knocked two or three seconds off their time after a session and have come away with the abilaty to improve their times on other tracks.
If you are off the pace, then a faster driver will follow you and spot where you are loosing time and help you find faster lines.
I can hold pace with most people out there. I'm not alien fast, but I'm working on it. I've gotten away from all of the crutches, so now if I'm slow I have no one to blame but myself. lol
I'm really looking to get my feet wet with some new people and make some new friends. I don't know how I stuck with previous Forza's without getting into multiplayer. Nowadays I try to do single player mode and get bored so damn fast

LOL I have been messing since Forza 0ne and same as you been using online mode only since four. If it turns out (as it sounds) that you are one of the faster drivers on saturday, then feel free to help out a slower one. That is what it's all about
This week the track will be Catalunya National. The car as usual will be the Fairlady and the tune is avaliable on the PTR Paparzzi storefront. Once again this is one of the tracks I will be using in the series.
I'm fairly new to Forza, had my first complete race last Sunday. This looks to be a good place to learn some tracks and hopefully lose some of those unwanted seconds.
I would like to join in Saturday if there is space.
Hi Xsitement you are of course welcome and there should be room, I haven't had a full one yet. Send me a friend request and I will send out an invite or you can just join the room.
Hi Knight welcome back hope to make it on sat. got my new wheel just trying to get the jist of it im between 1-4 secs slower at the mo depends what car and track
Hi Knight welcome back hope to make it on sat. got my new wheel just trying to get the jist of it im between 1-4 secs slower at the mo depends what car and track
but having fun
Cheers mate, yeah takes a little while but I ended up faster with the wheel, though that may be because I just spent more time at it because it is more fun
Think I'm going to be so much slower this week, got a wheel last night and boy is it different to using controller, was about 5 seconds slower with it that usual, have turn FF down to 50 till i gert used to it, and I'm really strugling with the clutch, button is in totally the wrong place cannot seeem to get a decent gear change, oh and one more thing I can no longer look left or right so cannot see whos along side me, thats gonna be a great hinderence when racing, still I will have to try and make the best of it, but at the moment wishing I hadn't spent the money on it a stayed with the controller,
Shadders thinks he is defo gonna be back of the pack for a long while to come
Heh it does take a while but stick with it mate, once you have cracked it you will soon be back up to speed. One of the things that has been behind my increase in speed over the last couple of months is the fact when I started racing with the clan I had just switched to a wheel and pedals, also turned off all assits for the first time. It has taken a while to get used to but now I am getting there I would never go back.
Guess its just practise practise practise for the next few days, seriously thinking I may have to goto automatic clutch though, I just cannot seem to get that bit right, dont want to as I have been running assist free up till now, except for the R class cars, where I have to use TC, I'll give it a good few hours tonight see if I can get into it. Cheers Knight,
Hope yoiu had a goiod trip to Malat and all went well, good to see you back
Maybe try manual without clutch 1st shadders. Auto really fucks you as far as cornering goes. Smoothness is the key when using the wheel. You have to keep everything balanced well. Roll onto your throttle & brakes. Try to use as little sterring adjustment as possible during cornering. As long as you do this, you'll be fine. It just takes a little time. It's like starting over when you change to a wheel. But it's well worth it.

I will get a room open for an hour or so on Saturday if knight is unavailable.
Thanks Guys!

Thanks Guys.. looking forward to it, just been looking for somewhere where you can get to know some good people whilst racing fairly and having fun!
I will be there, looking forward to it
Well, that was an education!

Church,
That would be great as my attempts to follow you through the final fast right before the hairpin at Infinion resulted in me becoming close friends with the wall...
What time are you available?
P.
Also available :)
Well, shot out a few friends requests so will be on at some point this afternoon if anyone is around.
Church, I will try and make it this evening, family permitting. and thank you very much for the offer: it is greatly appreciated as is your Tourni.
