Lucky bastard.  I can’t describe how absolutely jealous I feel right now.  Did you have to give up a kidney to get it?

I'm surprised that anyone even knew this beer.  I picked it up a dozen or so cantillon 10 or so years ago, put some of them in a cool closet and forgot about them.  Until recently.  I'm not entirely sure what I have left... definitely some Kreiks and, one or two guezes.

Nothing beats a trash plate and a growler.

I don't know what that means, but it sounds sexy as hell.

Well, the beer doesn't come in bottles so you have to get a growler(big jug) and as far as the trash plate goes, I found this for you!

Thanks.  I was good with the growler concept.  There's always an empty 2L behind the bench seat in my truck.  I'd never heard of a trash plate.  Now that I have, I WANT a trash plate.  That is sexy.

I had two Shiner Bocks on draft Friday night at the Boardwalk in Shreveport.  I drink maybe once a year and this is my goto for beer. It is glorious.

Last beer I had was Yunegling Light. It definitly does not suck having the Yuengling Brewery here in Tampa. Its as easy to get as a Budweiser is.

Sweet.  I’m a sucker for any beer with boobies on the label.  I’ve also developed a small obsession with sour beers.  I’ve been searching unsuccessfully for bottles of Cantillon for about 18 months.  It’s been a pretty enjoyable search.

Cool closet = fridge?

Is it worth $14 a bottle?

That might be a steal.  Unfortunately that’s $14 Australian.  And darn it all, they won’t ship off of the continent.  There’s a 2010 750ml on ebay for $50.

I may be in Monk’s Café in Philly this weekend.  I might get lucky then.

Yikes.  I had no idea how much they could be worth.  Shit, I've got to stop giving these away.  At $14, I wouldn't hesitate to order it at a bar.

They spent some time in a wine cooler.  But, most of their time was spent in a closet.  I bought them for much less than that at the time.  A local bar bought out the inventory from a distributor that went out of business.  I probably paid half off the retail price at the time.

Edit - I forgot I uploded a picture of my second to last beer...

Tried one of these last night.  It was sort of sweet, and not my normal taste - but interesting.  Glad I bought it in a mix and match 6 pack.

I had a Kona Brewing Koko Brown at Pu'uhonua o Honaunau park at sunset last night.

When I got back to the B&B I walked the grounds collecting fruit from trees to make a smoothie with Old Lahaina rum.

Aloha!

Went for lunch.  Got very lucky.  Baby greens with grilled duck breast, goat cheese, spicy walnuts & craisins accompanied by a bottle of Cantillon Rose de Gambrinus.  Fanfuckingtastic.  After lunch, when my family saw the look on my face, they decided it would be best if they left me there:  Petrus Aged Pale Ale, Contreras Valeir Extra, and Hof Ten Dormaal “White Gold” (bittered with endive).  I went for a walk and ended up finding a couple of Flying Fish Red Fishes in the Good Dog Bar.  My family found me and took me to Triumph for Curry Pork Tacos and more beer.  My SiL and I put together a Triumph sampler with pints of Bohemian pils, Love Potion (Belgian tripel), rauchbier, swarzbier, Irish red and Irish dry stout.  It was a happy, happy day.

Unfortunately the missus figured out what that day cost about 2 hours after the "we can't afford a patio this year" talk.
