I love beer but I just can't get into the IPA craze. Is hopslam really worth the $17?
I like an IPA once in a while. Mostly I prefer beers I can drink a couple (few) pints at a time and still have my taste buds intact and not be shitfaced. That’s not many IPA’s.
Bell’s production manager said this of that beer:
“I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.”
Wow a lot of fancy beer drinkers here.
My last a Labatts Blue but typically drink guiness stout.
New seasonal double IPA from Great Lakes Brewing called Alchemy Hour..
So ... darned ... tasty ...
Started fancy, Troeg’s tasting room for a Nugget Nectar, Pale Ale and Hopback Amber. Ended with Natty Light.
My sympathy to folks with gluten issues. This was tough to swallow.
Hamms with green food coloring in it.

I love my ale but this was not enjoyable. I give it a thumbs down.
