Went stag to our local beer festival. Ran into Automan and JollyRoger and some of their kin. They let me hang out with them, and they put up with my drunken idiocy. I had a good time. Thank you to them.
Found these in my pockets afterwards. Not yet sure what they mean.
i REALLY like it. the beer guy at Spec's said people either love it or hate it, and i love it. it tastes a little fruit-acidic with the grapefruit. it tastes different when it's really cold, and as it warms up towards room temp some of the other flavors come forward more so it's almost like drinking 2 different beers.

Thanks. Next time I am at Spec's, I will have to find it.
Accidentally sat for a conference call in the Troegs tasting room. Scratch beers 69, 71 and 72.
Scratch #69, More Helles, Less Bock, is an easy-drinking lager that blurs the lines between Helles, Bock and Maibock styles. At 5.6% ABV, 21 IBU, and light straw color, Scratch #69 portrays itself as a Helles; but inside the glass lurks a more complex beer reminiscent of the Bock style.
Scratch #71, DMB Wit, we’re revisiting the blissful world of white ales. This beer typically features a blend of wheat and barley along with spices and yeast to create a refreshing and complex flavor. Coriander, Sweet Orange Peel, Lemon Peel, Pink Peppercorns, Schezuan Peppercorns, Tellicherry Peppercorns. LaChouffe yeast.
Scratch #72, Tim’s Brown Porter, is a walk down memory lane for one of our brewers. Inspired by a thirst for neither big nor hoppy, Tim Mayhew drew inspiration from the London porters he frequently consumed.

If you like beer, buy some beer. If you like margaritas, make a margarita. But for the love of god stay away from margarita-flavored malt beverage.
Good god, that looks nasty
I cannot agree with you more. I had 1 at a cinco de mayo party and it was awfull.

This too, had some last night. Yuengling lager is a permanent staple in my beer fridge.
I can't get that here in Texas, so when I was in Florida last week, I had to make sure to have a couple of those.
I've been on a Summer beer kick lately and just finished a 6 pack of Goose Islands Summertime Ale. It was pretty good and I'd get it again.
I also had a 6 pack of Anchor Steam's Summer Ale. It was ok, nothing great.
This, but 2012
Busch Lite!
had one of each of these last nite.
How's the Shiner Ruby?
