ok at first you look at it and think "now, that's just goofy..." but then I think about all the times i REALLY need a keypad when I'm working with my laptop at home and now it's not so goofy anymore. no details given on price or availability yet, but i want one.

Alright, I get the connection with Game Fuel, and I can even stretch so far as to see the Burger King tie in, but Pontiac? Seriously?!? What does a G6 have to do with Halo? Do they drive Pontiacs on Reach? (Sigh) Whatever. As long as the game is up to Bungie standards, I guess I really don't care about all this craptacular extra stuff that goes along with it.

So, for those who read Darth Clem's blog last week, Circuit City ran a Buy One Get One or some such thing on Xbox360 accessories.  The point was you buy a 1600 point card and you get one for free.

Well guess how many cards they had at all of the Circuit Cities near me?  Zero.  I think enterprising readers figured this out from reading their blogs on Friday, went out and bought the cards and then just went back to the store on Sunday to get a price adjustment without ever having any intention of paying full price.

Advance scans of WalMart and Toys R Us have both confirmed that there is a $50 price drop coming for the XBox 360 Pro console. The new price points will be $279 Core, $349 Pro and I don't remember what they're dropping the Elite to, but it wasn't much. Having worked with advertising before, I can tell you that normal lead time for ad prints like this is 6 weeks, so that puts us right into the Halo3 launch when this is announced/official.

The Core needs to drop to $250 or they are still getting hammered by Nintendo.

I refuse to read this on the grounds that it might spoil the game for me but that doesn't mean you have to abide by the same rules.  If anyone wants to cut the section out about The Forge and plug it into the comments I would be eternally grateful.
