Hey Chicago, what do you say, the Cubs are going to win today...Go Cubs Go! Go Cubs Go!

Last night the Cubs took over first place in the NL Central and I hope that it's just the beginning of them running away with the division.  There is something really magical going on at the Friendly Confines this year.  If you've been a Cubs fan ever in your life, then you can see that this team is developing into something really special.

Okay, so i think based on recent news items that Best Buy is looking to clear up some shelf space.  I just read that they are dropping the HD-DVD player to $149 and they are sold out online.  To me, that says "Clearance".  We've also heard that they are not planning on restocking the Core anymore which - again - to me says "Clearance".  I wonder if these items just aren't turning to Best Buy's liking or whether there is something else at work here.

Alright, I'm going back and forth on my love / hate relationship with Sony.

For the unitiated, I thought highly of Sony's price cut but then when it turned out to be nothing more than a clearance strategy, I immediately rescinded my compliments.

Today's two pieces of good news :

The price cut for 360 is all but official.  The new price points are 279 core, 350 pro, 450 elite.  they are all still way too hot and loud.  falcon, do your thing.

Does anyone remember when the 360 first came out and Halo3 was coming out in Spring 2006 to counter the PS3's launch and there was going to multiplayer supporting FIFTY people in a single game?!?

sorry, needed to catch my breath there...is it better to be blissfully unaware that fanboys start nasty rumours?  or is it like love - better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all?

ok at first you look at it and think "now, that's just goofy..." but then I think about all the times i REALLY need a keypad when I'm working with my laptop at home and now it's not so goofy anymore. no details given on price or availability yet, but i want one.
