According to IMDb, Sugar is the name of a movie that is being shot in my hometown this week:

From the press release:

Jamie Patricof and Jeremy Kipp Walker of Single A Films today announced plans to film a full-length feature film in the Quad Cities beginning in mid-August of this year.  Filming in the Quad Cities will last approximately 3 weeks, and estimated production costs will be about $1 million dollars for production in the area.   Filming will also take place in Burlington, Iowa, the Dominican Republic, Arizona and New York.

Meeting Mike James

Well, its Labor Day and I thought I would take a break from working on the jungle we call our back yard and say a few words about how much I really enjoyed myself yesterday. Mike James, his lovely wife and beautiful daughter came down to enjoy a cookout with our family. A little secret about me, I am kind of shy. Family is everything to me and it takes a lot for me to get out of my comfort zone and meet new people. I am sooo glad I did though, thanks to a little persistance from Mike (its only taken what a year and half?).

Win, win, win

I have been playing Lord of the Rings Online. I like it a lot and it will definately keep me tided over until Two Worlds comes out and likely even after. It definatly hasn't been everyone on 2old2play's cup of tea so I have been trying to glean people's opinions about this and have concluded that many experienced RPG people think the pace is too slow or the game is too casual(leveling up is to easy). For now I enjoy the pace and being a true middle-earth fan immensly enjoy the environment.

Great games!

So my Halo3 marathon gaming weekend is up. What a great time! Thanks to everyone I played with for all the games.  Things are going to get serious for me at work this week, (and from what I heard in the lobbies while gaming, I ain't the only one!)  and my family has suffered enough frozen and/or  'whatever can be scrounged up' dinners at home. Anyway,  I won't be on much at all during the week, for that I apologize ahead of time. Hopefully, I will see y'all next weekend!
