Forza is Pretty

I just thought I'd update a story I did earlier about the anti-aliasing in Forza Motorsport 2.  The demo was apparently an earlier build, as the final product is smooth and sleek.  Watching the Forza 2 TV will show you just how slick it is.  I designed my car until midnight last night.  The painting ability is extremely powerful!  It's also fairly simple, as my first try was pretty successful.

The Preorder Fiasco + Deals!

So, for the second time in a row, my preorder of a videogame on Amazon Prime was suddenly requiring to accept a delay of just over two weeks for my Forza Motorsport 2.  Thanks for the warning, Amazon.  I new something was wrong when they didn't ship it yesterday.  So I took my silly butt to Best Buy, where they had NO copies.  I even found out someone who preordered FM2 at Best Buy was told on the phone that his was in stock.  Then he gets there and ZILCH!

Four Aces No Draw in Klondike

One of the Soltrio achievements is to place all four Aces on the foundation without dealing from the stock pile. Because you can quit games and start over with 4 button presses, it's not too daunting. Then I worked out the odds that this will happen. I didn't predict the probability of placing four Aces on the foundations, but rather the probability that all four aces will be in the Tableau. 8% of the time, you will deal all four Aces. The other 92% of the time, the achievement is impossible.

Take That, Mr. Banny Ban Man!

Fearless modders have already circumvented the Xbox Live system ban. Hey, I'm all for modifying your system as long as you don't violate and laws or regulations--especially if it lets you play all regions of software you purchased via import. Me, personally? I have two PS2's from Japan and the US. However, this is really cool. (Found via Digg)

Alone Again, Naturally

Who knew the Xbox Live Arcade title, Soltrio, would be so popular.  Major Nelson's blog wraps the top ten most played XBLA each week, and the week it was released, Soltrio was the number 2 most played game.  Nevermind that I've been playing it to death, I just didn't think it would be that popular.  It is a very good solitaire game.  Silvercreek makes this a sequel to the Hardwood Solitaire games.
