Today In Virtual Console

Today's VC offerings on the Wii are not in my interest, I'll just run them down with some memories/experiences.

Galaga (NES): I played this years ago as a rental. It looks great and sounds great. It plays well, but there's something about it that is just easier than the arcade. I love the Namco museum games versions, they're pretty faithful. Then again, renting the game when it first came out was $3, so it's $5 now doesn't seem bad.

Kororinpa: Marble Madness (Wii)

Kororinpa is a well-made game.  It's also very easy.  Some of those last levels are hard, but not excruciating.  Still, it's a really short game.  A gamer should be able to do the 45 levels in under 3 hours.  There's other stuff to do, too.

Videos on PS Store

This isn't really news, but the PS Store has lots of new video downloads.  I watched the trailer for NEXT, which looks exactly like Paycheck, but it still looks good.  I also got a glimpse of Home.  Home looks awesome, and may turn out to be the new standard.  If you watch the Home video, you'll also see about three seconds of Little Big Planet (I think).  And the video for Super Rub-a-Dub looks like a fun action/puzzle game.

That's Mr. 600 to You!

Aaaah.  I finally finished all Freecell games (the MS Windows whatever x.x version) up thru 600.  You can search back to when I hit 500, but it took a lot longer.  Number 530 is THE Bitch of the 500's.  Now that I've done 600 puzzles, I can start on the 601-700 puzzles.  Whenever I tackle a new batch, I allow myself the luxury of skipping around.  That way, a puzzle I can't solve quickly is skipped until I have to solve it.  It's a small achievement for me.  I wonder why it's not on Xbox Live?  Don't spruce it up, just as-is for FREE.

Trioncube (DS) Is a Little Easy

Link to Amazon Page for TrioncubeI bought Trioncube the other day.  I should listen to that little voice, since the game really lacks variety I want in a puzzle game.  The game is a Tetris variant.  Instead of completing lines, you complete 3x3 squares with 3-block pieces.  There's often a time limit
