Mega Touch, Much?

One of my favorite things in a bar is the small video game consoles.  There's even a Touch Master game coming to the Nintendo DS.  But this little diddy is about Mega Touch 2007.  One game in particular drove me batty, Texas Hold 'Em.  First off, it's an expensive game with a timer.  It doesn't matter how much you win or lose, your game ends after about 3 minutes.  So I fold about 4 hands and then get an opener of J-3.  Thinking the Jack is a worthy starter card, I call to the next round.  The first 3 cards are J-3-3.  Sweet!  I have a full house in only five cards.  I raise once and call.

The Whole Patch Debate

A lot of people are "sick of" games released with errors.  Guess what?  All games have errors.  Most are not obvious.  If you remember the Atari and PC days, they'd test these puppies until they were sick of even the best games.  Then they'd publish and ship.  What happened when an update was put out?  Nothing.  The newer versions of the games would be published from that point on, but unless you contact customer service and exchange your copy via mail (usually for $10 + S&H), you never new the AI was flawed or that the penalty for letting the timer expire on level 6 is NOTHING?  You kn

Catan Update

The Xbox360 Catan update is out.  I'm sure it's mostly bug fixes, like accepting an offer from an opponent who doesn't want to trade with you.  I've noticed the AI is much better, or worse, depending on your point of view.  It's difficult to trade at first, because the other players are trying to monopolize the board.  It still seems like the opponents know which cards you and the others have.  If you read the review on 2o2p of Catan, you'll discover a "build the board" like in the real game is an option you can turn on.  Despite the AI improvements, the game is still winnable at moderate, but

VRRRRRRROOOOOM! FM2

Forza Motorsport 2 is nearing release on Xbox360, I think.  I tried the demo, and it is very nice.  Race fans, try it out.  Something that is both good and bad is that it plays exactly like the original Forza Motorsport.  The ability to turn off accelaration lines, brake lines, or both is very welcome.  I got tired of these guidelines real fast.  On the first game, I started with them, and then couldn't quit.  I strongly recommend turning them off if you've played Gran Tourismo or Forza one.  Then there was one little itty bitty problem.  Jaggies.  That's right, the Ridge Racer V lack of an

Family Guy Pinball by Stern

Family Guy Pinball by Stern Stern is the best of all the American pinball companies consolidated via financial circumstance. One of their latest pinballs really shows off their creativity. Though the "collect the names" by spelling out M-E-G, C-H-R-I-S, etc., is an old idea, it has been missing from pinball for awhile. The table's super-cool innovation is Stewie's Mini-pinball.
