Puzzle Quest (DS): A Second Opinion

I read the review of Puzzle Quest for the DS in the latest Nintendo Power.  They thought the game was boring and not fun!  One of the complaints was that you play it just like Bejeweled.  That's not entirely true, but if you don't like Bejeweled, this will probably be a bad title for you (either DS or PSP).  You have to match gems that give you needed mana and take away your opponents.  If you're trying to get red and yellow, and the opponent blue and yellow, yellow gems will be your priority.  Green gems would be good to ignore in such a battle.

Puzzle Quest (PSP) is a New Twist on Puzzle Games

I am a puzzle-game nut. My last 4 purchases were: Tetris Evolution, Marvel Trading Card Game, Puzzle Quest, a Kororinpa. Puzzles are hard to screw up, unless they're unoriginal and/or boring. Puzzle Quest isn't technically original. It is basically Bejeweled, Magic: the Gathering, Heroes of Might and Magic, and Fire Emblem rolled together. However, it feels very fresh.

Tetris Evolution (Xbox360): Achievement Strategies

The last entry tried to illustrate the T-spin to get those achievements. Here are some other strategies:

1) Cascade Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Start with 10 or so lines to start. These lines only have one hole each and you'll have good chance of cascades which earn points. The rest is just quick reflexes at the higher levels. Bronze should be easy. If you get Silver, don't quit! Gold is just around the corner.

Tetris Evolution (Xbox360): WTF is a T-Spin?

I've played a lot of Tetris in my life. I never heard of a T-spin, but it sounded perverted! The manual doesn't explain it and the in-game help isn't much better. Instead, it's a technique with the T-shaped piece:

Oldies But Goodies With Caveats

This is really about the two "remakes" I've played this week, Ridge Racer 2 (PSP--Asian Version) and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
