Something That Will Set Off the Watchdogs?

I read a review of 7 game controversies that never were, but I can't find the link now! One that surprised me was Persona 3 (PS2). I bought the oh-so-beautiful game (guess whether I like it or not) and played it for about 2 hours. That's about how long it takes for the real game to begin, but the story and tutorial are excellent. First of all, it reminds me of Lovecraft stories with a hidden "Dark Hour" and multi-handed shadow creatures. The game is justifiably rated "M," but it's very difficult to see why.

It's On the Internet. It MUST be true!

Everybody's favorite, Jack Thompson, is a regular hall-of-shamer at Gamepolitics.com.  I see "Jack Thompson, Attorney" show up on the message boards a lot, too.  Even though it sounds like THE Jack Thompson, many times it does not.  So just as an experiment, I signed a Comment "Jack Thompson, Attorney," but I made it really clear it was just an example that anyone could do it.  I also said to not believe everything you read.  The first response to "fake JT" was that it didn't matter, they sound like comments he'd make.

Confessions of a Movie-game Player

So Eragon was more entertaining than I thought it would be.  Then I picked up Cars for the Xbox360 (available all systems, too).  There's a kids-level game and a "Full-size" game.  Cars starts off very slow and is about as arcade as a racer gets.  However, the game has so many mini games that are thematic to the movie and regular challenges of racing that it will take a long time to finish.  I now realize why this was such a big seller last Christmas.  As a game for kids, this is one of the best.

PSN Wallpaper

Wallpaper for the desktop of the PS3 is a new feature they added in the last system update.  Sony has been posting many bits of art to adorn your background in either SD or HD.  I recommend trying them out!  Also, the Blast Factor wallpaper has a real clever trick in it!  Try it out!

Eragon (Xbox360) Post-Completion Thoughts

Collecting all of the hidden eggs is a 100-point achievement, making it the highest for that title.  The reward you get otherwise is not really worth it, though.  I think I liked the flying levels the most!  I also found out that the last battle was hard, so I beat it on Normal.  I then found the last egg on the Easy level (always hunt for "eggs over Easy").  I decided I couldn't let those last 30 points go, so I played and beat the Hard level on my first go!  Apparently there isn't much difference between Normal or Hard.  The key is to deflect Durza's magic shots, because like yours, they wil
